"Great area to live"
Good value, fantastic location with a large Woolworths, Medical Centre, bakery, bottle shop etc but also only 10 minutes to the calm water of Tin Can Bay or 20 minutes drive to the surf beach, cafes, Pub, Clubs of Rainbow Beach.

"Friendly town"
Cooloola Cove is surrounded by so much natural beauty. Only 15 minutes to Rainbow Beach. Great fishing and 4 wheel driving. People very friendly. Feel very safe here. We back onto a National Park and there is a backburn every 3 years so dont have to worry about fires. There arent many shops in the area but we have all the essentials. Gympie has everything and only 35 minute drive. We regularly drive to Sunshine Coast and Hervey Bay. Nice restaurants and cafes in Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach.

"A holiday turned into a daily life"
Moved here 12 months ago after holidaying here for about 6 yrs on and off . We love it after the hustle and bustle of city life . I guess like everywhere there are people from all walks of life . My motto , if it doesn’t effect me and mine , then it’s none of my business! Internet is good , phone reception ( Telstra ) good . Sandflies have their days ( nothing like Poona though ) If buying really check the blocks out after some rain . We loved a few homes but the blocks were wet , the house we chose drains really fast . The only fault I find is we need a few more options for shopping , a clothes shop or 2 and a gift shop would be nice . That’s my only complaint , so not a bad place to live at all !!

Hi - We're looking at moving up that way from the Sunshine Coast. We have two kids - 10 and 2. Wondering if you feel still the same way about Cooloola Cove. Do you have any advice on schools? Is it easy to make friends? We won't know anyone up there. Thanks in advance.
Would also love to hear! We are also considering the move with a young one and planning a little one soon, what are job prospects like also?
We have heard there is a lot of crime in the area is this true

We have been here 6 months now and have found it to be a very quiet and friendly neighbourhood to live & retire.
Nice big blocks with room to move .
We are very happy that we made the decision to buy here in Cooloola Cove.
To date we have found the weather to be a very mild climate.

There were so many fires while I was living there. Cooloola Cove was nearly burnt twice in 2 years - there are numerous news articles about the fires in this area. They are very common, and many of them have come extremely close. The backburning is more frequent than every 3 years, but the fires keep occurring and the resources in the local area are insufficient considering the increasing number.
