Reviews of Ferny Grove, QLD
"Luxurious Ferny Grove!"
Ferny Grove is a very beautiful place, the Train Station along with the Tavern have been the land marks for 40+ years. The new Transport hub promises to bring a contemporary shopping Centre with a Cinema and loads of specialty shops. I've enjoyed the activities with access to the State Forest hiking and bike paths. I take my dogs to the dog park almost every day, they love it. I counted 18 dogs there yesterday. I love it here.

"Great suburb."
Leafy green suburb around 12 kilometres northwest of Brisbane’s CBD, a 25 minute drive without traffic. Despite this proximity to the city, the suburb still maintains a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by many great parks and bushland. Additionally, it has relatively reliable access to public transportation through Ferny Grove Train Station, which is getting a $140 million dollar redevelopment including restaurants, a cinema and other specialty stores. The suburb is also great for raising families due to its great schools, strong community and low crime.
Overall, Ferny Grove is one of the best Brisbane suburbs to live in, especially if you want that suburban family lifestyle with close access to the city.

"Decent yet pretty town"
This is a beautiful area, great picnic areas to take your family to, nice cafes and also a lot of beautiful homes if you wish you live here.

"Love it here."
We moved here from West End (and lived in Hawthorne prior to that) and are just so incredibly happy we made the move.
The city was amazing but out here is next level. From my balcony all I see is green. Trees mountains and beautiful views. It's quiet and has that gorgeous village feel without the plane noise or the mozzies that come with Bulimba/Hawthorne.
So easy to get to the city within 20 min by train.
Quality local schools and welcoming community is another big tick. Love it here.

""Tight community that welcomes all""
Ferny Grove a wonderful suburb but it has it's down sides to it's possitives like, we can close to schools, kindies etc... but that means lots of traffic. The schools hold exciting event that being the community but it means loud a few nights a year. When it comes down to it Ferny is just welcoming you.

"Left Ferny Grove for Townsville"
I used to live here, didn't really think I made the best choice. It is too far out from everything and I didn't think there was much to see or do, now I live north in Townsville and love it here, some good memories made in FG but overall glad I left. The beaches here are fantastic and the recreating is leaps and bounds ahead, why live in some western hovel of Brisbane when you can live the beautiful life in Townsville?
"It’s A Winner"
I really like living here! I moved here with my young family from Sydney, the unknown was a worry BUT the school and community welcomed us and we settled in well. The train station is so convenient to the CBD. There is lots to do and see, and as an extra bonus it’s really pretty! All the lovely trees and well maintained trails to explore make Ferny Grove a great place to raise kids. So glad we left Sydney and found Ferny Grove, the price to buy a 5 bedroom house with a pool in Ferny Grove only 12km to the CBD was the same price as a 2 bedroom townhouse in Sydney 30km away.

"Strategic location for a prepper"
I have not lived there but it ticks all the boxes. Close to the city, train, schools. And if you need to evacuate quickly you can go west quickly and have access to fresh water.

"Great place to live"
I wasn't overly sure before moving but glad we did. It's a very quiet suburb with friendly locals. There's plenty of bush trails nearby and transport is great.
