A realestate agent giving a suburb review is like a used car Manager giving a review of the car dealership!

"Great suburb in the west"

The best thing about Greystanes is that its population is truly diverse and not dominated by single community. Can probably be explained by lack of train station nearby.
Great suburb to start a family. Older neighbours are the best, friendly and ready to help.
Close to Westmead Hospital and Parramatta CBD, M4.

"A Great Place to put down roots for the rest of your life!"

I've lived in Greystanes since 2004.
What a wonderful area to put down roots for the rest of your life.
People are fantastic, little or no crime, great schools in the area and you are 10 min. from Parramatta, 40 minutes from the Sydney City, great bus services and the area is more reasonably priced than Winston Hills and Wentworthville, a much nicer than Merrylands.
You are only 10-15 min from Westmead Hospital.
Terrific little shopping centre - Greystanes shopping centre has the best little Chinese restaurant this side of the Mountains and a great fish and chips shop that people come across town to eat at, and the bakery (...yum!) and there is a reasonable sized Wollworths supermarket , hairdresser, fruit shop, two banks
Everyone knows everyone...it's like going back to the 1970's when people said "G'day, how you been?" and they meant it. Your next door neighbour is there for you - you always feel safe walking around Greystanes.
Please don't tell too many people - this truly is the little gem in the west...a piece of paradise in the west.
Come out here and see for yourself ! Can you tell I love this area...and bye-the-way I'm not a real estate agent.

"Good suburb to live. mix of all comunities and not dominated any particular comunity."

Only 30mins drive to the city and right near parramatta where by you have all the shops and cafes you need. Only some 15min drive to ryde and rhodes, so very central. Friendly neighbourhoods and felt safe in the neighbourhood. Greystanes is an ideal place to live as you are close to all facilities.

Not sute how rhodrs and ryde are relevant to being an.advantage living here? Both suburbs are in totally different regions of sydney and serve no benefit to living in greystanes. Im confused!

"Gipps Road, Greystanes"

Overall, the Greystanes suburb is appealing for 2 reasons, 1) convenient to drive to the city (30mins and you're in the CBD) and 2) clean and decent in comparison to other surrounding western suburbs.

Getting around: Gipps road links Greystanes to Smithfield. Of most Greystane's streets, Gipps road is the most convenient for buses. The 804, 806, 809, 810 all run through here, easily linking you to Merrylands. Blacktown, Parramatta and as far out as Bonnyrigg. Yes, Wetherill Park Stocklands included! The T-way crosses with Gipps Road, enabling later night services as well and a maximum 12min walk to reach the furthest end of Gipps Road depending on which end you live on. Getting to the city is short and sweet, 60mins Bus (806 to Parramatta) + Train (plenty of services during peak periods). Parramatta is the nearest major city and just a 15 minute drive.

Nightlife/Social/Eating out: Once again Parramatta tops the list. Everything from bars, clubs, restaurants. Convenient by car and bus direct from Gipps Road. The city is the next best for social/night life and only a 30min drive. Taxi will cost you about $80 (i.e. 1am) and perfect if you split with a few friends!

Gipps Road: A quiet little road, generally used mostly during peak hours. Walking distance to Pemulwuy (Nelsons Ridge) shops and restaurants. Nice lake and dog park.

Highly recommended if you want the quiet suburbs life yet close to vibrant cities such as Parramatta or Sydney CBD.

"Typical suburbia in Western Sydney"

Greystanes is a typical suburb in Western Sydney. It is approximately a thirty minutes drive to the city. Most people who live in Greystanes will catch a bus to get to Parramatta before hopping onto a train to get them to the city. Although it is located in Western Sydney, most families here are middle income and the properties here are generally more expensive as compared to Merrylands and Wentworthville. Houses here tend to be older style but with quite substantial backyards.

In the heart of Greystanes, you can find supermarkets, doctors, chemist, a bakery and etc. Hence, it is convenient for your weekly groceries. There are also plenty of schools around this area, thus making it convenient for parents whose kids are still in school.

I recently bought a property in Greystanes. I have been looking for a three bedroom house in Girraween area for the last two yers. Could not find a good one under my budget. Either they are very old or too much competition to buy one. Some went for more than 30,000-40,000 on their advertised price. Decided to look one in Greystanes. Found a beautiful one. No rush, good price.

Blocks are fairly big and large houses. Very quiet area compared to other western sydney suburbs. All facilities are only 10-15 minutes walk and got some very good primary and High schools .

Anyone who wants to live for a long time in a good area, Greystanes is the right place.

Prices started to going up recently, but still affordable compared to Girraween or BaulkhamHills.

Closed to M4, Great wester Highway, Cumberland Highway and so on.

Get in there and enjoy your life.
