Reviews of Gulmarrad, NSW
"A great place to be for quite and nature"
It is a central place for beaches, bushwalking, shops. You feel out of town rural feel but actually only 5mins into town. Blocks are large at least an acre. Still real estate is very affordable for what you get within drive to beach. Yamba is only 15mins drive away, for more beautiful beaches and shopping.
Friendly people too.

If being surrounded by retirees who mow, whipper snip and leaf blower their lawns all day, everyday is your idea of peaceful, your welcome to it.
John I live there you are exaggerating. Suburbia in the city has much closer quaters for lawning etc and much mouser. It's definately one of the quietest places Ive ever lived and lovely people.
Can an honest local please tell me how gulmarad held up in the last big flood and are mozzies the as bad as some day please.
Also is there any such thing as an uber to the pub here please?
"Gulmarrad is great"
Quiet, peaceful, semi-rural setting with one acre blocks surrounded by abundant birdlife and the local kangaroos.
Only 15 - 20 minutes drive to the beautiful unspoiled beaches of Yamba, Angourie and Brooms Head. Grafton is a 50 minute drive away with a great new shopping centre. It's only 2 hours drive to Byron Bay and 2 1/2 hours drive to the Gold Coast / Brisbane. For boaties / fisherman the beautiful Clarence River is only 5 minutes away.
A great spot for those who love the quiet life and wide open spaces but not too far from shops, schools, pubs, clubs.
People are friendly and relaxed.

Yes this is all true, except the comment about grafton being 50mins away, i dont know how fast you drive but keeping to legal limits each time takes me exactly 30mins. Also i come from byron and go back there all the time and it takes exactly 1.5hours. So it is a perfect central location. I just love the local beaches round here, and the national park thats inland from sandon river.
We have a boat and its just perfect for wake boarding and fishing. we love it here!!
It takes us 50 minutes to drive to Grafton because we like to go the slower scenic way, eg. via Brushgrove / Cowper.
Could you please tell me does it flood often? Are the schools good? What is the crime rate like please?
Gulmarrad has a primary school. If you want a high school there is one in nearby Maclean. Gulmarrad does not flood but nearby Maclean may on occasion as it's by the Clarence River. There is no crime in Gulmarrad at all.
Is Gulmarrad on town water?
Yes Gulmarrad is on town water
Thank you!
