I lived here for six odd months while my family were moving house. It doesn't have a train station, nor does it have trams. The bus service is unreliable, but you really don't want to drive a car into the CBD, do you?

Very good suburb nice and not to far from Melbourne CBD

Have lived here 25yrs now and it has been great. Local schools are great, lots of sporting clubs, parks, families and friendly area. Only downside is public transport, However Keilor plains station is nearby so easy to get to the city.

A lovely town to raise family!

Loved Living Here for Over 50 Years. We have, Childcare, Kindergarten, Primary School, Catholic and Anglican Education, Secondary Public and Private Education are serviced by a bus and there is a development site for The Victorian University.
We have our gorgeous Historic Hotel, Motel, Library, Craft Market, Art and Craft Classes.
Football Club, Cricket Club, Tennis Club, Bowls, Keilor Scouts and Dance.
Keilor Gift Annual Foot Race.
We have a Memorial for our Military servicemen and women, located at our Keilor Municipal Offices.

Lived here for 18yrs now and from the beginning I knew this was a place I wanted to raise a family. The schools here are excellent, though as their is only a public primary (no secondary) there is travel to other suburbs required for education. However the Anglican co-ed (prep to 12) is fantastic (if you like private education).

A good place for families with beautiful homes, streets, parks and schools.
The lack of good public transport is the major downside. The local goverment and residents are to blame for this for not approving the light rail extension (Tram 59) all those years ago. Instead it went to Airport West.
I think some of the older residents are out of touch from reality, by a number of them being against this decision. As we have seen and heard in the Media over the past few year, Brimbank Council is an utter shambles. Poorly managed organisation and I think this would be a major contributor to the lack of infrastructure in the suburb.
Some of the houses are mega mansions which appear unsustainable monstrosities which will have poor resale value.
One bus running its way around the suburb is unpredictable, unreliable and a long long journey.

If public transport was better, I would sell up and move here in a blink of an eye, and I can guarantee more people would!! If i was to ever move back, it wouldnt be in the style of the concrete block houses they keep building.
