Reviews of Mill Park, VIC
"Mill Park sure ain't what it used to be..."
Back in the late 90s/early 00s Mill Park was the "latest & greatest" big development suburb to make it's mark on the map. Every young couple or family wanted to live in the area, mainly just because it was new. The most especially sought after Lakes Estate with it's panoramic views across to the CBD was prime real estate. It is still being built upon to this day.
Over the last decade or so, the entire area has become very weathered looking, the public amenities are mainly non-functional, the shops are from a bygone era, buildings & facilities are no more developed than they were when originally built & enrolment numbers in local government schools has dropped so dramatically due to the superior new schools in Epping, Mernda, Wollert, Doreen etc. Mill Park Secondary College is a washed out embarrassment of an institution.
Which brings me to the last point & that's easily the escalating rates of youth crimes relating to drugs, alcohol & traffic offences. The way young people speak, dress, vape & drive in this suburb is deplorable. The statistics of lives lost is at an all time high.

"Family friendly & amazing suburb"
I have lived in Mill Park for years and it is a very family-friendly suburb. Shopping and lifestyle needs are well covered with Westfield Plenty Valley, The Stables, Rivergum Village, and Uni Hill Factory Outlets. The community is very welcoming, with plenty of sporting clubs, child-friendly facilities, and local services like medical centres and libraries.

"3082 represent"
Mill Park has been so wonderful for us. It has so many good schooling options and lots of parks and playgrounds. It is well located for shopping, dining and amenities too. The block sizes are very decent and you don't feel crammed in. We love how quiet it is here. Our neighbours are also all long term residents and we feel very settled and safe. We are very grateful that the traffic is no where near as bad as what it is a bit further out. We love it here.

"One of the best suburbs in the North -East"
Mill park is one of the best suburban areas located North east of Melbourne that is still affordable.
It is a very family oriented suburb. A leafy area, one beautiful in nature. Being woken by the sound of birds chirping & Seeing a lot of native birds & plenty of cockatoos. Reminds me a lot of lower Templestowe,
As mill park has similar homes built, hills & parks & lakes. Fresh breeze at all times 🌻if you are a dog lover like me. Mill park just behind the stables I call that pocket a Gem you find an oval, a beautiful lake & dog park. Excellent for interacting & socialising with other pet owners & lovers. Mill park also has an all abilities playground that open in 2021 near the mill park leisure centre. This park is absolutely stunning & offers so much for young families & entrainment.
Excellent schools & universities at your door step.
Great library and state of the art leisure centre brand new 25 million dollar renovation, just open in 2021.
South Morang plenty valley shopping centre really close. Uni Hill 3 kilometres away, excellent restaurants & large choices allowing us to never get bored & keeping our options open.
Driving through the suburb gives out great vibes & the suburb upholds a lot of class.

"Perfect place to grow up in as a kid"
The winding roads and entwined streets of Mill Park create this sense of togetherness and community. It was the best place to grow up in as a kid, riding my bike through the streets. It is a very friendly and family orientated suburb. Great memories were made there.

"Best suburb in the north"
I have been living in Mill Park for 4 years, before that I was living in Reservoir and Bundoora for couple of years. During all these four years I never had a problem with this suburb compared with the other two that I lived , nice and quite parks, beautiful trees and couple of shopping choices around the area. High way , trams, buses, night time buses, trains ( not far away). Very close to city and Brunswick , two universities, couple of primary school and nearby high schools, I really felt safe, respect, energetic in this suburb.

Dont see any electricity station mate. Small area with packed facilities, very nice suburb
I agree. We lived here in the 70's and am always grateful that we got out before it was too late. Its always a benchmark for where I wouldn't want to live.
These comments are so inaccurate and obviously on here to stir the pot..go away if you just post to trawl....
You must have lived in Mill Park Drive cause only street that was around in the 70s..your so full of llies. Im glad you got out if you were ever there, cause home prices are escalating and your cheap buy would now be worth a great amount of money
Dont agree, Mill park is family oriented, easy access to everywhere, never had anything bad happened.

Definitely a lot of potential
