Reviews of Moama, NSW

"A great place for both retirees and young families"

Moama is a largely residential area on the Murray River and provides excellent access to sporting clubs and grounds (golf, tennis, croquet, water skiing, cricket, football); it is a quiet place with options to live in either normal building block environs or 1/4 to 1/2 acre blocks. Living just out of town, you get the benefit of big skies with a great view of the stars at night. It is a very safe environment for kids - certainly we have had no problems - with very little traffic. Moama has a Golf Club (36 holes), Bowling Club, RSL Club, Sporties Club with gym; all provide good eating options as well as sporting facilities. Moama also provides very good access to the Murray River, and has a number of wineries in the immediate area. Apart from the sporting clubs, dining options are provided by Chinese, Italian and Thai restaurants, a Pizza restaurant/take-away, and fish, chicken and general take-away stores. Two bakeries, a Safeway store, an IGA and 3 petrol stations provide plenty of options in a small town.
