"Great suburb with great potential"
Good suburb with lots of potential. New marina was planned when we left (2014), MONA is just up the road. Only 2 minutes to Glenorchy high street with Northgate shopping centre, and 10 minutes to Hobart CBD. Nicely kept suburb.

"Sea Change Escape on the Doorstep of the City"
Montrose is located 8 kms north west of Hobart. It is also in Montrose where the Montrose Foreshore Community Park is located. It has a playground which is popular with all the children in the area. There is a trail which runs from there to the Derwent Entertainment Centre. There is a small local shopping centre in Montrose which includes a vet, chemist, petrol station and convenience store. The town also boasts its own yacht club. It is a family friendly area although crime is a problem.
