Reviews of North Arm Cove, NSW
"Nature lovers paradise"
It's a beautiful place to live, plenty of birds & kangaroos visit our yard, unfortunately so do lots of snakes, in the space of 2years & only being weekend residents I have had 2 brown snakes & 1 black snake on or close by my back verandah ,+ quite a lot on the road. But that's the price you pay for living in a non built up area , you just have to be aware of them & be a bit careful. Terrific friendly neighbors ,great community spirit,it does get a bit noisy with jet skis over the xmas break but thats only a few weeks a year. Mobile phone coverage and TV reception is terrible.

"on the water ... and it's great!"
We moved to North Arm Cove about 18months ago and love living there. it is quiet & the waterways are perfect. A great family location, plenty of space to play around. Swim, kayak, cycle, tennis or sail...so much to do so little time!
Great for
- Active local arts community, tennis court, sailing & plenty of beaches. local community library
Not great for
- No local coffee shop.

Hi Leonie, did you end up buying a block? We are thinking of buying one as a investment for the kids, just wondering your thought on the area if you have bought one, we are in tassie
"Up and Coming inner city Secret!"
Carrington is certainly one of my inner city favourites,
So close to everything one could want, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle of newcastle.

"Quiet village on the northshore of Port stephens - 2Hrs from Hornsby"
North Arm Cove (NAC) is a delightful village amongst the woods and consists of some 300 houses, of which about 70% are permanently occupied, price range $280k to $1.4m . Almost all homes are either on or across the road from the water and located around the southern end of the NAC perninsular It is 3 km from the Pacific Highway. Almost every leisure activityi is available either in the village or at nearby Tea Gardens/Hawks Nest. NAC cove is a very good anchorage and there are a number of permanent moorings The Hall/Library and now tennis court, are the most utilised in the Great Lakes Shire. Newcastle, some 38km away, is the nearest city and closer still is Williamtown Airport with Jetstar/Virgin operating direct flights to most major cities. Broadmeadow, at newcastle, is the main rail cityrail/country link hub.
Many of the holiday homes are owned by people from as far afield as Cyprus but most are Sydneysiders, many with kids. It is a great place to live!

Hi MrsP. We are thinking of buying a non-urban block in North Arm Cove. Is the water accessible for those without water access from their block? We have 3 young children and would like to get down to the water to swim.
