Reviews of Tully, QLD
"Tropical town"
I lived in Tully and miss it still, kids rode to school and would stop at the shops on their way home, so much freedom, popular local IGA and a really busy Main Street with everything I needed, everybody had time to say hi. Surrounded by nature, we used to drive 10min to Alligators Creek during the heat with locals and backpackers. It is also close to the highway so you can quickly hit the road and get out. Community orientated and safe. But, for it to be green you need to be ready for rain so it lost one star. You don’t find towns like Tully these days. I worked from home and found the internet better than Sydney! The gym opened after I left

"Friendly town just needs to expand more"
I have lived in Tully for nearly all my life and I find its a great place for kids and teens. It is also great for elderly couples looking to retire. It is a quiet town but there is still lots to do. It is extremely safe and I walk around at night and I feel completely safe.

"Tully - Very wet and green town"
Tully is known as one of the wettest places in QLD so the vegetation around the town is a lush green for most of the year. Situated on the Bruce Highway 180 kms south of Cairns, Tully is a relatively small town and the main industry here is sugar. There are plenty of shops in Tully as well as good restaurants and take away food shops. Visit the Tully Sugar mill or The Violet Smith Park in the middle of town is a peaceful place to sit back and enjoy a coffee. Only a short distance from town you can visit Alligators Nest, a safe freshwater swimming hole with a good picnic area The Tully Gorge is another popular tourist destination especially for the white water rafter enthusiasts. Stay at the caravan park or motels during your visit or if you are intending to stay you will find home prices affordable.

Wow...nearly 2,000 street points....by reviewing all those locations or just promoting them? I mean, you have not really lived in all these places? I am just curious...

What is the weather really like? Does it rain all day, every day for 3 months? Thinking of a seachange with 2 young kids...
