Warrandyte is genuinely one of Melbourne’s best-kept secrets. Surrounded by beautiful bushland, the Yarra River and a real village atmosphere, it feels a world away from the city while still being within easy reach of Melbourne. It has a wonderful sense of community, great cafés and restaurants, stunning homes and an incredibly peaceful lifestyle. A very special place to live.

Warrandyte is a tranquil and beautiful suburb where one can live for many years and raise kids and grandkids. The Yarra river flowing at the heart of Warrandyte, the green scenic trails the birds and animals are quite rewarding and help achieve inner bliss. Love the numerous cafes, shopping centres, sporting options and public transport connectivity to major train and bus stations.

We have lived in many Melbourne suburbs but moving to Warrandyte has been the best decision. We do not plan to leave this treasure of a suburb.

Love it here and enjoy the picturesque walks to the park and the river each morning. We moved here from city but dont miss it anymore as the city is just a 40 min bus ride. Shops are just a stroll away or supermarket 10 minutes bus ride. We don't own a car and going well without one.

I have lived in suburbs all over Victoria and Warrandyte North is the quietest, loveliest of them all. The blocks are huge. The people are calm and friendly. During covid lockdowns the streets are so quiet and safe. Warrandyte is a safe, tranquil suburb.

Evening traffic getting through Warrandyte is on Yarra Street is only rivalled only by Hoddle Street traffic bypassing the city on a football night. CBD to Warrandyte flows okay maybe 40mins in evening peak , but then Warrandyte IGA to the Warrandyte Pub takes a further 40-60mins. It’s crazy. Hate to imagine the congestion in a bushfire emergency event. Wish I never moved here. Thought I was moving to peace and quiet but my neighbours are having a constant love affair with fossil fuels, constant song of chainsaws, blowers and mowers, dogs that are barking at their kids that no one seems to care to quiet, this is not to mention constant building works turning miners cottages into monstrosities.
The eating out is overpriced and under delivers on quality with the exception of a very few restaurants that are still expensive but at least come through with good food. Best thing about Warrandyte is it’s easier to escape in an emergency than North Warrandyte! Lord have mercy on those souls in a bushfire.

We have only lived here since August 2019 but really like this suburb and have really enjoyed living here so far. Warrandyte has the feeling of a countryside town at the base of the ranges rather than a suburb of Melbourne. There is lots of greenery, no matter where you are in Warrandyte, if you look around you will see many trees. Overall this is a quiet town, of course from time to time you will hear dog barks/howls, leaf blowers and other tools at work as well as the occasional house party but not frequent enough to complain about.

Warrandyte is a nice quiet suburb on the north eastern edge of Melbourne and is serviced by Manningham council.
This is a very green suburb with plenty of trees and steep inclines. The Yarra river passes though dividing Warrandyte from North Warrandyte. There are some good walks by the river along with plenty of reserves to explore.
There is the library in the centre of town along with cafes and various restaurants. Heading west from the centre there is the post office, an IGA, medical centre, pharmacy, opticians, more restaurants and the sports ground.

A lovely suburb with a beautiful community vibe. Great little restaurants and cafes and fantastic market. This lovely suburb offers something for everyone and would highly recommend.
