"Sunrise Beach"

Sunrise beach is a popular choice for many families and young singles wishing to enjoy a relaxed beach lifestyle close to Schools and the beach. Parts of the beach are dog friendly and there is one cafe located just across from the main beach access. Further back in Sunrise beach the homes are close to Sunshine Beach High School, St. Thomas Moore and Bambino child care. The community swimming pool and tennis courts are located next to Sunshine Beach school (which is technically Sunrise Beach).

There are local shops with a small supermarket, BWS bottleshop and bread shop.

There are plenty of families enjoying the family lifestyle in Sunrise Beach. Buses meander through the streets providing good access to the beach and the streets located further back.

There are plenty of small parks dotted throughout the neighbourhoods and the local skatepark is a very busy attraction.

Windsurfing is a popular sport on Sunrise Beach due to the ocean breeze as is paragliding.

Looking for a home in Sunrise Beach?

"A Great Priced Beach Suburb close to Noosa Junction & Hastings St"

Sunrise Beach is a relaxed and comfortable beach suburb that's only a couple minutes drive to all the shops, cafes and restaurants in Noosa Junction. if you like living close to the beach, but you want to avoid the expense of most beach-side suburbs, Sunrise Beach is great place to consider. The homes of Sunshine Beach, which is the suburb next door, tend to be quite pricey, so Sunrise Beach is a great alternative to get great value for money.

Great for

  • Close to the beach
  • Great priced homes
  • Proximity to Noosa Junction & Hastings St

Not great for

  • Minimal shopping options

"Beautiful"

My grandparents lived on Netherby Rise back in the early 80's so spent a lot of my childhood there, going fishing on the weekends at the beach. At that time, there were very few houses in the estate - so quiet and peaceful among the heathland. I hope it's still nice as it was then! I hope to get back someday....

"More Affordable and Less Tourists"

If you want to get away from tourists and lack of parking, Sunrise Beach is the place. It is not only more affordable than Noosa and Sunshine Beach, it has a more relaxed lifestyle. When I'm at Sunrise I love going to the Chalet cafe and buying a cappucino and taking it over to the Beach Chalet and watching the surfers/whales/ships/maybe nothing - just so relaxing and low key. I can then catch a bus to Noosa for a couple of $ and take in Hastings Street but I love to retreat back to the slower pace of Sunrise. I'm happy that some people think it is too out of the way for a holiday but that is what I like about it (it's only about 3 or 4klms from Noosa).

"Smart choice - Noosa lifestyle without the crowds"

The northern end of Sunrise Beach is great. It's an easy walk to the Sunshine Beach shops/cafes, surf lifesaving club and national park. You get to the beach via a pedestrian tunnel, so no roads to cross. Jump on the bike path to Noosa junction for more shopping.

Rentals in Sunrise Beach

"Sunshine’s Poorer Cousin"

Sunrise Beach is just south of Sunshine Beach, and just that much further away from Noosa to lower the cost of buying here. Most of the suburb is on the western side of David Lowe Way, which divides it physically and psychologically from the beach. Many homes have commanding views of the ocean nonetheless.
