Home for sale, negotiation?

Sunshine Coast Region is located in the state of Queensland.

We are renting and have been advised that the house is for sale. As there is an auction planned as well as a few home opens plus some extensive renovations, I am curious what I can request as reasonable compensation for the inconvenience that is being caused. I'm not really after free rent but an early release of the rental agreement.
