as with most strrets it is dependant on which part you live on. in coolgardie there are a few problem pockets based on neighbouring residents, low numbers of sylvester are a problem, higher numbers are peaceful. go close to lyon st for best peaceful living. coolgardie has excellent policing, great recreation centre and restaurants at roadhouses, motel and hotel. employment is mostly local mining and kalgoorlie is only 1/2 hour drive away for many many job opportunities, shopping and nightlife. there is a community bus for set days and set time shopping trips, school bus to kalgoorlie ( there is a primary school and a private residential aboriginal christian school in coolgardie-6 primary schools in kal. and 3 private primary, plus 1 public high and 2 private high. also curtin uni and School of mines. major retailers in kal include target, coles, woolies, IGA, betts, katies, rivers, sjussans,millers,just jeans,jeanswest,jjs, cotton on, supre, 2 surf stores more more more. 32 licenced liquor venues and many sporting venues all in kalgoorlie.
