We're thinking about purchasing a land in North Tamborine.

The land we are looking at the moment has only 2 next doors and the back of the land is all avocado farm which is nice. But I am quite sensitive of any type of chemicals, I guess it depends of the farmer but in generally, do you think avocado farming usally use many pesticide?

Yes they use pesticide, fungicide and herbicide, but you should go visit the farmer and ask them.

Be aware that many larger properties on the mountain are being purchased by foreign investors who are "land banking" with the plan to subdivide in the future. Just because a property backs onto an avocado orchard now does not mean it will stay that way. Check the ownership of the larger properties around any property you are interested in. This should give you an indication of what the future may hold.
