Teakwood Avenue, Woodlands, WA 6018

Teakwood Avenue is located in the same street as Woodlands Primary School with Churchlands High School near the top of the other end of the street. Both schools have an excellent reputation and there are several private schools and a university nearby. Many families move into the area because of the educational facilities and the area is only approximately 7 kms from the CBD. Innaloo, Floreat and Karrinyup Shopping Centres are all within an easy drive and there is a beautiful lake near the street. The street also fronts a beautiful park that many people use to exercise themselves and their dogs. It is also used throughout the year for cricket and T-Ball. The street has quite a good flow of traffic but is not noisy and throughout the night there is very little traffic or noise. Most of the cars seem to go by during the peak periods and then it all drops off. Most people live in the street for years and the properties are tightly held. Over the past few years there has been quite a lot of redevelopment in the area with many people choosing to pull down and then erect more modern and larger dwellings. You couldn't find a better street to live in and I would recommend it highly. It is a very happy street and you are likely to bump into many people that you know when you walk to the local Village to the IGA. There are several families in the area that are into the third generation because the kids all grow up and then buy or rent in the area. It is that good! The local lake is a wonderful haven for people; children, families, singles, the elderly. It is well used and loved and there is an excellent children's playground. A walking path was completed around the perimeter of the lake within the last year and the walk is fantastic, especially with all of the wildlife and trees. The only bad thing about the area is that it is out of the price range of most ordinary people these days and a lot of houses sell for up to a million or more K. If you could buy real estate in the area, I would recommend it if you could afford it. You would never be disappointed. Most of the houses are owner occupied and those renting are people that you would be happy to live next door to. Maybe the price of living here excludes those who are anti-social. It is a very peaceful and beautiful street in which to live.
