I loved Melissa when it first opened. My husband was so excited about the place that he took a mate there for a drink and was treated terribly. All they wanted was a quick drink for 20 minutes or so. The place was 1/2 full with lots of empty tables and chairs but the waiter would not let them sit down because the tables were 'reserved'. My husband explained that they didn't want to sit for long and that if the booked parties arrived, they would get up. Eventually they got to sit but the waiter kept on looking at them and then his watch and made them feel uncomfortable. After 20 minutes they left and my husband refuses to go there again - so they've lost at least 10 people per fortnight because of the rude treatment by the waiter.
