Where are the footpaths?
Thoughts?

Footpaths in Templestowe? You have got to be kidding! The day the council actually arranges footpaths, I'll feint!
But the question is.....do we want footpaths? Im not so sure other people do!

Well I certainly would love to! You ever been walking around serpells road and a car comes along you are forced to jump over the ditches in the side of the road to avoid them.
I've seen many of the homes on Serpells Road are starting to build their own gutters. Who wants an open drain!
Templestowe can't afford footpaths because the council is too busy making our lives more beautiful with oversized pieces of sculpture...... Bring on the footpaths.
we have footpaths on one side of the street...and that suits me....but then again i dont walk around very much...but i have noticed a fair bit of works on king str and surrounding streets....in a way having no footpaths helps keep that total surburbia look away...personally i prefer that look rather than pleasant ville...
I think the only real place in Templestowe that lacks footpaths is Serpells Road. I know that everywhere around where I live (Tatterson Court) there are footpaths everywhere with ample room for 3 or 4 people to walk in a line together. The only street that suffers is Serpells Road and I agree, something needs to be done.
Sarah Crescent doesn't have footpaths, and nether does a few others around Serpells Road. Tatterson Court, which is a very nice street :) has a lot of footpathed areas surrounding. I think Serpells Road needs a makeover anyways. It's a rough road as you go from Sarah Crescent up the Hill towards the schools.

Tuckers road doesn't have footpaths either! Kind of crazy when you consider that it's a school area with lots of kids and parents are forced to park in the gutters. It would seem that the area as you go down Tuckers Road from King Steet all the way along Serpells and finally down to Williamsons road doesn't have any footpaths, yet this is where are the massive houses are (which you would assume would have to pay larger rates).
Why is it then that a School Zone and expensive houses don't have footpaths (or at least why are there exposed gutters)?
