Reviews of The Boulevard, Ivanhoe East
"Corner of Burke Rd and The Boulevard"
While this is definitely a very nice area, there are also a few downsides that are important to be aware of if you want to move into this street. Burke Rd is VERY noisy, at all times of day, it can be difficult to get to sleep at night when there are trucks, motorcycles, and hoons driving past in the early hours of the morning. The Boulevard itself is also very popular with bikies and hoons as it is a nice wide windy road for them to speed along, especially, but not exclusively, during the night.
Living in front of Chelsworth Park can be annoying as it is a favorite location for those coming home from a big night out to pull over and go to the toilet or vomit. This is annoying when you are trying to sleep and can hear people yelling from your bedroom, but also when it happens are dinner time, when you're trying to have a nice dinner on your deck, it can really ruin the atmosphere.
The parking lot down near the tennis courts in the park have also been a constant source of night time angst. It is a favorite with hoons doing donuts, who apparently will never be taken seriously by the police. If you think that your house on the Boulevard will be far away enough that you won't hear the noise, you are wrong. I used to live there, it was a HUGE pain.
