The Boulevard, Loch Sport, VIC 3851

The Boulevard is a quiet St, however we are at times disturbed by hoons during the holiday periods, performing outside our house, doughnuts etc.
The Town, Loch Sport, 3851 is an out of the way small village with about 2 to 300 permanent residents.We have no sewage or town water and about the only services supplied by council are once a week garbage collection, which is charged for in addition to your rates which are anything up to $3000.00 per house. This is a big put off if you want to buy or sell.Unfortunatley we come under Wellington Shire Council and are hence penalised for the small population. Loch Sportians I here pay about $3,000,000.00 in rates but only about $70,000.00 comes back to the town. In the early days when we were in The Shire of Rosedale it was much cheaper to live here, but is now way too expensive for pensioners, retirees or family's, it is now a playground for the rich. The only other service we get from council is a mobile library twice a week. Everything else is in addition to your rates, ie. garbage charge waste infrastructure charg etc etc. They are now talking about putting sewage through the town, but I dont think they have put much thought into water supply or disposal.Installation of the sewage is going to cost each resident about $1000.00 pus water rates and service and operating costs, replumbing of your house to comply with regs. etc. Good luck if you can afford all these charges
