Pentland is a small rural country town, with a great community. Pentland is located 108 KM west of Charters Towers, Charters Towers is the closet place where you can go "shopping". Pentland has a few amenities, one of them would be the town pool, also there is a small park, that's really it. Also there is a pub, a petrol station and a caravan park. The Caravan Park has a small shop in it where you can buy some food if you run out. But I wouldn't want to be doing your weekly shopping there. There is also a veggie/fruit man that comes weekly. Also another that comes every month.Pentland is one of those places you can live, and leave the door's unlocked, not having to worry about being assaulted when you walk down the street. Pentland is a great community for retirees, and maybe couple's looking for a first home. Pentland has a flying doctor that comes here once a month, if you need urgent medical attention your going to have to go Charters Towers. If you want internet here, you going to have to get "dial up" or "Telstra's wireless" There is an exchange here for "Adsl". But, it's always full. So you'd be lucky to a spot in that. Overall if you are looking to settle down, buy a house and relex. This is a great place for you to live in.
