Where is the a nice spot for a birthday picnic near the Vines?

There are plenty of places within The Vines for a birthday picnic, any other kind of celebration or just some time out. Try out Ailsa Park (on Ailsa Way) or Chardonnay Park (off Vines Avenue) as a starting point. They both have various facilities, Ailsa has a rotunda and Chardonnay Park has a BBQ.
There is lots of lovely parks in and around The Vines and Ellenbrook. Chardonnay Park in the Vines has lots of space for kids to kick a ball and Woodlake Park in Ellenbrook is really beautiful and tranquil. Bells Rapids is a favourite and only 10 to 15 minutes from The Vines - just off Cathedral Avenue, from the Great Northern Highway. We ralso had a lovely picnic at Houghton's Wine Estate, just off the Great Northern, before you get to Reid Highway.
