Toodyay school has had some problems in the past with bullying but having a stable headmaster now seems to have gotten on top of it. Although in saying that I have 5 kids that all go to the school and all have had a wonderful school experience. My eldest two started in kindy and have now graduated and my youngest are just starting their schooling there.I know many of the teachers and assistants and they often go above and beyond for the students and it’s a great little school community. The P&C are great and really working towards some positive changes and improvements at the school.
Toodyay school is absolutely terrible! My son was there was 1 term and had a trouble with bully's from the day he started - no matter how many times I brought it up with teacher NOTHING got done.finally went to the head masters who advised me to look up the definition of bullying and that it's because my son was sensitive and not as outgoing as the other kids which is why he got picked on. Took him out there and then put him into Bakers Hill Primary and it was the best thing we ever did - 110% better school better and more caring teachers, admin and students. Since leaving Toodyay school we have only heard bad reports and similar stories to ours. So I would suggest for anyone in the area go straight to bakers hill school.
Gingin school is a nice country school and a school bus caters for the Gabbadah area. There is also a bus into the Two Rocks school and buses also for the private schools in the Quinns Rocks area. Yanchep senior High is a direct feeder school to Mindarie Senior College for y11 - year 12.
