Can you help me understand pay days?

hi my names rhiannon im new to this whole rental thing if my partner an i get approved for this house we applied for i know we have to pay 1040 bond and i understand we have to pay up to two weeks in advance so that would be 520 October 24th we would be able to move in my partner and i get payed fortnightly so do we hve two pay another two weeks on top of the $520 advance? or do we only have to pay that on our next fortnightly pay the 7th?..
