"A beautiful town with a country feel"

Tyabb is lovely, a beautiful community environment and the area is really nice. Well maintained homes and gardens, strip shops with one of the best pizza shops ever. I would highly recommend for those looking for a beautiful town with a country feel.

"I Love Tyabb"

Tyabb is a semi rural area that has so much potential, Easy access to main roads to Melbourne still on the Mornington Peninsula but away from busy Mornington it self.
The people are friendly and great neighbors, Tyabb has enough parks and ovals to keep the children happy. It has 2 public primary schools, two catholic primary schools and Flinders Collage which is prep to year 12 all in 5klm of Tyabb it self. The Tyabb Antique Centre is a must see, I often go for coffee there it has lovely retardant/s there. then there is also Tilly's just off the main street an that is a gorgeous cafe for lunches and coffee. I describe Tyabb as a little country town close to everything you need, and it is a very rare find. Deferentially worth looking at.

"Great place to live"

Having lived in Tyabb for the past five years (nearly six), I have grown to love it and call it home. What a great neighbourhly area we are in (we're in Delepan Dr). Its one of those places where you get to know your neighbours and they're all friendly. We all help each other out in different ways. Its a real community. It's really quiet and peaceful. It's got easy access to the city with a trip straight down the freeway, just down the road from all the peninsula and all the beaches. I also have an easy 20 min drive to Berwick to visit family and friends. We also have friends in Cranbourne who drive to Tyabb for La Lupa pizza's (mmm - worth the drive).

Since living there my wife and I have two children and access childcare in Somerville (although there is a childcare centre in Tyabb) soon to be Tyabb kindergarten. We also look forward to accessing local schools.

There are few shops in Tyabb but these can meet all your needs if necessary although you only need to drive to Somerville or Hastings for regular shopping. We prefer this type of access to shops rather than the Fountain Gate type of nightmare.

There are some beautiful older houses in the area which suits us rather than the new McCafe or Porter Davis style housing of the growth areas. I think this is the type of living will be really sought after in a few years when all those growth areas start to fill out.

We also have heaps of antique places (not that I go there), the Tyabb Air Show which is a crowd puller and pleaser, a quaint carols by candlelight, a farmers market and some great open space with local reserves and the walking / bike track that connects us to Somerville and Hastings.
