Reviews of Tynong, VIC
"Why not?"
Tynong is one of the last remaning one horse towns. The main street runs along the railway line, and the trains can take a bit of getting used to, but handy for catching the train - it's only 45 minutes into the Melb CBD, and 25 to Dandenong, 20 to warrigul and an hour to Traralgon.
There is a good community spirit, and a new real estate development in the near future in the form of a state of the art horse racing track. Great opportunites for investment, either in a home or one of the two local retail businesses. I'd suggest buying now before prices go through the roof.
A short drive to Pakenham, a booming outer suburb or one of many small country towns in the local area. There is also a prestegious roman catholic school.
Great for
- Friendly
- Short commute to Larger towns
- Public Transport
Not great for
- The general store.
- Not enough local business
