Not really, some sandflies and midgees along the waters edge south of the marina
Sandflies are effectively a terrible issue in the Urangan area, more specifically in Pulgul Street. I rented a place in The Domain and oh boy... it's bad!!
I'm considering moving out. People say that they are seasonal, but meanwhile I have have my hands, legs and feet bleeding and with blisters on a daily basis, I can't get to sleep more than 3 hours a night because that's how bad the itching and bleeding is.
We could safely assume that I'm the only one having this issue, but no, my next door neighbor is moving out as well in February because her and her 2 kids cannot deal with sandflies issue no more.
Living close to the water as people have claimed in other posts is not the real issue here, I lived for a year in Point Vernon, literally at 2 steps from the beach... never had a sandfly issue, ever... this area is effectively worse.
