"Love this place!"
We have just celebrated our 2nd year anniversary in Arncliffe. We have moved from a semi in Newtown to a bigger 4 bedroom home overlooking the trees across the valley towards the city. We love it! We have hardly ANY airport noise - which was a huge issue in Newtown. Loads of parking too.
There is a huge cross-section of people in Arncliffe but all seem very tolerant of each other. My partner and I (same sex) did have reservations at first but nobody has even looked twice. The area is very quiet and safe and our neighbours are all very friendly and were most welcoming. We are very happy here and have no plans to move. Also seems that values are increasing as this suburb is being discovered.
Great for
- Close to CBD with good public transport options.
- Growth potential with lots projects on the card and in progress.
- Quite suburbs with lots of parks and bike tracks facilities.
- Good access to the city, the west and the south
- Great for parking... No parking meters!
Not great for
- More regular street cleaning - there seems to be lots of furntiture left out.
- More restaurants and cafes needed

Jeep - tell your friends that a fab little cafe in Arncliffe would be very welcome! We are desperately lacking somewhere with great coffee, delicious Sunday brunch and a terrific atmosphere. T.
Thank you for your post. I'm considering a new area and want to ensure my wife and I (same sex) and expecting a baby would be comfortable and not the only ones in the area! Have you seen or met many other LGBTQIA+ and/or with kids in the area?
great! i have friends who are hoping to open a cafe in the area (lesbian couple) and I thought the same thing about them standing out. They have lived in Arncliffe for 5 years and love it!
