Jeymer Street

"A great little cul- de -sac"

Jeymer Street is a great little hidden treasure located in central Kenmore. There are only a handful of homes here and are very tightly held with only three homes going on the market here over the last several years. With easy access to schools, transport and shops, etc there is no wonder its very popular amongst buyer's when they do get a chance to purchase. Also an ideal street for a game of cricket and a bbq with the neighbours.

Kenmore

"The Schools of Kenmore"

Kenmore has a wide selection of local schools that offer exceptional amenities and have a wonderful community based feel. Our lady of the rosary is an excellent catholic primary school catering to a large number of local families in a well equiped and modern setting. Kenmore state school and Kenmore South state school are also well run and provide a brilliant primary school education. My Son Jonah attends the Kenmore South Primary School and he couldn't be happier. Kenmore is also blessed to offer a local well regarded High School.

Indooroopilly

"Indooroopilly"

Indooroopilly is a great little suburb with a real mix of grand old homes, contemporary apartments and exclusive river front properties. It has excellent transport with both bus and train networks and lots of shopping options with the Indooroopilly shopping centre located at its heart and a few restaurant strips to catch a bite to eat. The residents are also a cosmopolitian mix of students, young couples and families. It is only 6km to the city centre and is extremelly popular amongst home buyers, so resale values are very high. Currently the suburb median is sitting at $720,456 for homes and $412,000 for units.

Clarence Road

"Clarence Road"

Clarence road has seen alot of changes in recent years with a large number of new developments with the most recent addition being the Ciana development on the old bowls club site. A good mix of older queenslanders and unit blocks, Clarence road had the most number of property sales in 2009 for Indooroopilly- showing there is high demand for the street. Handy to everything and an easy drive to the university.

Twigg Street

"Exclusive River precinct"

Twigg Street is a relatively unknown street that backs onto the Brisbane river. New developments are just starting to pop up and this won't be a secret for long. Within walking distance to Nudgee Junior College and many buyers saying this is one of the best streets in Indooroopilly, definately worth a look.

Gladstone Street

"Gladstone Street"

I lived on this street for many years and enjoyed the many amenities that are within walking distance. Close to transport and Indooroopilly shopping centre this is really what Indooroopilly living is all about. I would recomend this street to anyone and there are really some special homes in the area. Property prices are on the rise and Indooroopilly grew 12.2% in the last 6 months alone compared to the first half of 2009.

Furlong Street

"Furlong Street"

This is one of my favourite streets in Indooroopilly. Nice and quiet with a friendly family orientated atmosphere. Within a 5 minute drive to Indooroopilly Shopping centre. Property prices have drastically increased in the area yet this position is still generally affordable and below the suburbs median. Definately one street to watch. Acres of parklands are literally at the end of your street.

Harefield Street

"Harefield Street- Great street, presents a wonderful buying opportunity"

I have sold a few homes on Harefield street and it is always popular among buyers. It has a huge park at the end of the street and because there is only one way into this enclave and one way out there is very minimal traffic. Property prices are on the rise and Harefield street set a new area record price in 2009 with a property I sold for $725,000. Definately a street to keep your eye on.

Chapel Hill

"Some History about Chapel Hill"

Chapel Hill got its name from the Methodists church built on land bought in 1873 for $7.50.The original church was replaced with a modern building in 1955, and since then Chapel Hill has become a thriving modern suburb. Aboriginals were plentiful in the area in the early days of Brisbane's settlement. They camped around Mount Cooth-tha, and ranged over hunting grounds that include today's Chapel Hill. The Patterson family established a sawmill in Cedarleigh Road.

Gem Road

"Kenmore road"

Kenmore road is a long winding road that snakes through the centre of Kenmore. Back in the fifties it was famous for having a large gum tree positioned in the centre of the road and the road went around it. There are some beautiful homes on the street most notibly 64 Kenmore Road which was originally built in 1952 and was on 12 acres of land. This property was subdivided back in the seventies and was bought by a well know architect in the area called Griffin and Knowlman. Many of the homes built by them still exist in the area today and they were responsible for building the Kenmore gardens estate from the land they bought from the original number 64 Kenmore Road. The road can be abit busy at times but the character of Kenmore can definately be found driving along it.
