Newport
"Too Industrial and becoming expensive"
Newport is no longer good value, there is a lack of shops and good high schools for me to feel it is worth the cost. The smell from the industry, and pollution and dust from other nearby industries are the big deterrent for me.
Great for
- Excellent train service minutes to the city
- Close to the Williamstown beach, The Strand, Newport lakes reserv
- Substation-Artists market
Not great for
- Shops are disappointing
- Lots of heavy industry still around

Hi, its changed substantially since the Altona refinery closed. Definitely cleaner air now.
