"If you value safety, don't live here"
One month in Forest Lake and already broken into, car stolen. Heartbreaking, took a new job and moved to Brisbane and the crime in forest lake is terrible. Bottle shop broken into 4 times in one week, my home broken into, surrounded by terrible areas and insurance is a problem. Don't move here. The pretty landscaping is just a facade. No express train and train is in adjacent suburb.
Not a great commute. Wish I had spent more time researching suburbs and not been swayed by the modern, planned look of the suburb.
Rodman your welcome to your view but no need to minimise others. This break in will cost me 10k and really happened with much distress to the family. People can take their view based on the variety of opinions. Unless you're a real estate agent masquerading as a resident.
I have lived here for years and never had any problems.
Ive lived in Forest Lake for 17 years and never ever have we had a single problem. Its a fabulous suburb with easy access to trains, highways north - south - and west. Great shopping, good recreation parks and awesome people. Me thinks some people just love to have drama in their lives and like would jump at their own shadow
