Epping

"Epping - up n coming"

Both Aurora and Lyndarum have beautiful new houses, it's a pretty safe and decent neighbourhood .There are many professionals who live in Aurora and Lyndarum. Many doctors, lawyers and rich businessmen live in these estates. Easy access to public transport, shopping, health care etc. The estate has drastically changed from the "old epping" reputation of trouble makers and country pumpkins to buzzing new and up-coming epping! It's now a melting pot of cultures; very diverse and it's great! Not many eateries esp for dinner.

Great for

  • Lovely neighbours
  • Schools
  • Banks
  • Medical facilities
  • Shopping
  • Upcoming developments

Not great for

  • Increase in population but roads are the same size and the roundabouts dont help in the morning
  • No direct road/highway to the city unlike western suburbs tht have the westgate bridge
  • Too many traffic lights
  • Bit of traffic in the morning on high street

Who lives here?

  • Professionals
  • Families with kids
  • Retirees
  • Trendy & Stylish

This article doesn't suggest that Aurora and Lyndarum are safe. http://www.aurora.asn.au/2012/05/neighbours-unite-against-crime/
Epping is among the top 10 most burglared suburbs in Melbourne, you can know this from the home insurance quotes

good to read Carter. Agreed with the roundabouts. About other people opinion, I think this is common everywhere. Burglar can happen in Burwood Box Hill and anywhere. I do not think home insurance is high and I already compare with other GOOD suburb. Yes more Muslim but not full of drugs like Fayd1 said. I see no even a single cigarette butts on the street.

Many beautiful house but far from train station. You can buy 80s' house near train station with big land so can built you dream home.
Many restaurants now for dinner, Chinese, Thai, Viet, Italy, you name it.
