Karalee

"Karalee = Hoons capital"

We live at Karalee for almost 7 years after moving from Brisbane area and due to its isolation most roads are ruled by hoons day and night. Hoons were doing burn outs or donuts in front of house day and night during the whole time we lived there and even crashed though the fence and landed a few feet away from our front door.

PROS
Hight ratio of owner occupiers vs renter.
Most houses are on acreage
Peace and quite when roads are not ruled by hoons

CONS
It was affected by 2011 and 2013 floods
Just about every street you will see burn outs done by hoons
You will see snakes almost daily (our experience)
Junction Road is the only way in and out for most houses.
A lot of streets can be affected by heavy rain.
Isolated from other areas
No decent school
Limited shopping other than Woolies
The suburb was affected by bushfires previously.

Chermside

"Close to schools, transport and shops"

Chermside was good suburb more than 15 years ago – less development and mostly 3-bedroom houses around Westfield shopping center. Development at Chermside is similar to Parramatta in Sydney and gradually becoming overcrowded.

b) QLD Transport Dept, RSL club, restaurants etc.
c) 15 mins drive to Brisbane CBD, Airport and more desirable suburbs like Ascot, Hamilton, Hendra etc.

CONS

a) Streets surrounding Westfield parking is virtually impossible any time of the day or night.
b) Too many unit developments and bad traffic during peak hours.
c) Increasing crime rate.
d) No night life.
e) No train to city or other parts of Brisbane.

Exactly, its over crowded, noisy and poor food options, unless you want to take photos of your food and not actually taste anything ie burn your money for nothing.
