Reviews of Carseldine, QLD

"Hidden gem on Brisbane north side"

We are living in Carseldine for almost 6 years in a free-standing home and here are the pros and cons of living there.

PROS

a) There are at least 10 schools both private and public and Childcare centers within 10 mins of our house.
b) Direct bus and train to Brisbane City. Buses to Redcliffe shops, beach and hospital
c) Westfield Chermside is about 7 mins drive, Apsley Hypermarket is about 5 mins drive, Carseldine Central and Bunnings, Chemist, restaurants, cafes is about 2 mins drive.
d) Prince Charles Hospital is about 7 mins drive and direct bus to Royal Brisbane Women Hospital.
e) Dog Park at Lacey Road.
f) Easy freeway access to Sunshine Coast, City and Gold Coast still it is a quite suburb.
g) Brisbane Entertainment Centre is only about 10 mins drive.
h) Great place to raise family or good suburb for young professionals and retirees.
i) Low crime rate compared to some other suburbs on Brisbane north side.

CONS

Nearest night clubs are at Fortitude Valley which is about 25 mins drive away.

"Quiet & Family friendly suburb"

Purchased and Moved here from Stafford heights. It has everything for every lifestyle. The new Carseldine village is a bit "meh"..! But we love living here. Transport is good if not great. Railway station is 10 minutes with park n ride facilities.
Aspley Hypermarket for shopping.
Ikea and Costco just about 20 minutes.

Hey south siders, we have beautiful sea breezes and beaches ;)

Yes so true phil were looking at buying on dorville rd towards the train line end it's so quiet and peaceful with a beautiful park at end of street, we've just seen a home we love it's a beautiful queenslander it's very hard to buy anything under 600k unless it's a small townhouse or flat

johng47

Absolutely very hard to get anything in that area were currently looking at dorville rd so we can be close to the new shopping precinct and carseldine markets

juliet26

Were also looking around dorville rd for something unique as we have heard it's going to increase dramatically in value because of this new development, we love going to markets on Saturday so having a property close by be fantastic

jamesb70

"Great and Prestigious Suburb"

Been living here since past 6 months and all we could say is that it is a gem. Calm, peaceful, plenty of parks for kids and a separate enclosed dog park (Lacey road) for pets.
Inner streets are a bit narrow, but not a great deal. There wont be any place on earth that is 100% perfect!.
Close to all amenities -
Aspley Bus station (10 minutes)
Carseldine Railway station (5 minutes)
Aldi/Bunnings/JB-HIFI/GoodGuys (10 minutes),
Sunshine coast (1 hour 20 minutes).
Bracken Ridge Tavern (10 minutes)
Aspley State high school (10 minutes)
Carseldine Central (10 Minutes)

"This is the greatest suburb to live in!"

I grew up in the streets of Brisbane when I was two years old and I have to say that those years were astonishing. The living environment is gorgeous and it's very clean too! It's very quiet and discrete, meaning that you are able to find peace and quiet along with the safety since the crime rate is very low.
