"Great Suburb"
Bought a townhouse and moved in to West Footscray 2 months ago and we couldn't be happier. Its close to the city and takes us less than 20 minutes door to door on the train to get to work. Hansen Reserve is close by and having two dogs is just perfect for us as its a great exercise ground for the dogs and us. Our street is tree lined and although its close to Old Geelong Road, we can hardly hear and see the traffic during the morning and afternoon peak hour. We love going out and doing the cafe circuit on the weekends and WeFo has great local cafe - Brother Nancy. Butcher 128 is just across the road from us and Footscray has great cafes/restaurants which recently opened up. It takes us less than 5 minutes by car to get to Yarraville, Seddon and Barkly Street village so we are spoilt for choice when it comes to cafes, restaurants and eclectic shops.

- Nice Victorian / Edwardian renovated homes
- Less than a 15 minute train ride to the CBD

Hey guys, looking for some advice on location. Looking at renting a place on Waratah street north of the creek near Beaumont pde.
Is it okay here? Clean and safe?
Moving from the other side of the city so not familiar with the area and hear mixed opinions!

Hi David, thanks for your great review of this great area. My partner and I just moved to WeFo (South side of the tracks) and we're loving the friendly tree lined neighbourhood. I would have had no idea Butcher 128 existed if it wasn't for your review, we'll definitely be checking it out this weekend! Cheers - Mitch
