I moved to watanobbi from thornleigh (hornsby) about 3 years ago i got a great deal on the house and i have experienced only good things!
When i moved in i had many of the surrounding neighbours send welcome cards and come over to say hi and welcome!
Everybody is so friendly and nice our street dunrossil ave is soo quiet! close to tuggerah shopping centre and the beach at the entrance.
My son goes to wyong little learners (amy close) which is just down the road and it is fantastic!! lovely childcare workers! Watanobbi is very safe!
The only prob is not much work on the central coast depending on what industry your in, my husband works at north sydney as a Logistics Coordinator and does the travel which he says isnt too bad...
I would recomend watanobbi to anyone looking for affordable housing and friendly Safe area.

I lived there quite awhile ago about 11 years ago so I can only say about that time but in the 4 years we lived there we never had any issues and it was completely safe! We walked around the streets and even at night and never any problems.
We never had any issues with flooding but I guess flooding is more of an issue these days then back then so I'm not sure.
We think about our watanobbi house alot and regret moving but we only moved back to Sydney because all our family lived there and it was a long drive back and forth all the time but otherwise we would have not moved.
Good luck with moving to dunrossil! Maybe you will live in my old house!
