Moved to Mernda about a year ago. Have lived in Sydney before for many years. This suburb has best of both worlds. On one hand you get that country feeling and on other hand going to epping, South Morang and CBD is not too far with direct trains. You can see Kangaroo along the railway lines almost everyday. This suburn has already got Woolies but with Coles at Mernda Junction it's got even better. Better roads would be great addition. Plenty road is being upgraded all the way to Mernda. As soon as you go more North East you can see Kinglake mountains which is very much country like. Great place to live as there are lot of young families. New police station will hopefully make things even better safety wise.
