"NOT A NICE PLACE"
Please don't move here, it is one of the worst towns along the coast, locals will not accept you but the ferals will with open arms.
No jobs, No atmosphere, No class, No future. Look elsewhere and stay sane.
"GREAT PLACE TO LIVE"
HAMILTON is currently experiencing a property boom, yes you read it correctly , first one in a generation lol
So hurry up and move here to purchase the last remaining bargains that are still available (September 2020)
Very cold and wet in winter but spring and summer is bliss.
Everything you need is in town otherwise order online mobile phone reception is excellent.
Come and say hello, tell the locals Glen sent you, :-)
Who lives here?
- Professionals
- Singles
- Families with kids
I am really keen to live here but we can't even visit because of lockdown... Can anyone let me know please what the summer season is like for bushfires - is the town considered to be safe?
Safest regional town in Victoria in my opinion.
Hurry up and move here, house prices have more than doubled in 15 months with no sign of slowing down. Entry level in a nice part of town is 350K +
Thank you Glent2 for the info! We should be able to travel to Hamilton in the next couple of weeks which is exciting! I see that we missed out on some great properties but hopefully we will find what we want - can you recommend any of the quieter areas we could look? Peace and privacy are our main priorities.
i reckon best area are around the george st primary area. laidlaw, bridge st, greed, fyfe anything around grange burn track is bliss.
Wow! Thanks for this! I would say we are looking at around 650 - 700 but we haven't sold yet.
You'll get a great block for that. On acreage for sure!!!
Thank you for all your advice!
HAMILTON MIGHT BE COLD BUT IT HAS A WARM HEART
Property boom? LOL!!! Glen is talking it up so hard it sounds like he is selling up and wants maximum dollar.
Prices going up does not mean a property boom. The entire Australian market went up 25% in 2022 during the Covid madness, and so Hamilton will move up in lockstep.
Is there rampant residential or commercial property development building in Hamilton? No.
The population has not grown in a long time, like so many of these small towns scattered through rural Victoria. Its a great place to retire to if you want a quiet life and only require basic services.
"KEEP AWAY DONT MOVE THERE"
Don't waste your time or money, this town has nothing going for it and its residents have a very low Socioeconomic status. They are looked down on from both Hamilton and Ararat communities. Go look at Dunkeld which is the next town about 20km towards Hamilton, its safe and great if you have children, its where the normal people live.
love the area! best place! locals are wonderful
