"A rental ghetto!"
I've lived here seven years. In the beginning it was lovely, like a village, with a good mix of residents of all ages. However in the last couple of years the council has allowed the area to be overdeveloped to the point where it has become a rental ghetto. I don't know anyone in my street anymore, the residents are all transient. Apartments, townhouses and houses are rented to groups of drunken youths who yell and roam the streets and drive around with loud banging music emanating from their cars.
I tried to sell recently but the few offers I got would not have bought me anything comparable elsewhere. South Pine road is a traffic-clogged nightmare with motorcyclists treating it like a speedway. The pollution is staggering. Green areas are vanishing under residential developments.

I live right next to South Pine Road. in the seven years I've lived here, the traffic has increased and likewise the pollution. The area has become much more heavily built up, lots more cars in the area now. where there were homes with yards, there are now large apartment blocks. I now have a permanent cough, and I'm a fit person. I can't leave because I can't sell for a reasonable price.
One would suggest can't sell for a "reasonable" price because your horrifically negative mindset reflects your approach to real estate.
Everton Park is a beautiful place, I have lived here for 12 years and have never seen these "drunken youths" you speak of, I would change your star rating accordingly...champ
Obviously I am not personally involved in the sale of my property, I have an agent for that, their advertising and marketing is brilliant, the property is well presented, but the offers are very small. The drunken youths went up and down my street around 3.30 this morning - they came from South Pine Rd. One vomited in my front garden. The others sat in the street before staggering off. I saw them try a few car doors as they went down the road.
Hi Helen, I'm sure your police report would have reflected that the kids "tried a few car doors"... that's if you're not telling fibs...
Again, you're not doing much for the sale prospects of your sale here darling, I rent in Everton park and wholeheartedly disagree with these mythical "drunken teenagers" who are vomiting in your garden, on a Monday night none the less.
I would delete your review if I was trying to sell in the area sweetheart
I agree with helens21 regarding to the traffic and the motorcyclists treating South Pine Road as a speedway. I have moved here since March this year. However, I found this place is close to everything. I am working in the Brisbane CBD and it takes me around 30 to 35 minutes drive but it is just less then 20 minutes on non-peak hour, School holidays and weekend. It is not a lot of "drunken youths" or "noise neighbor" at my area so for me it is still a good place to stay.
I don't know if we are talking about the same Everton park mate, pollution? The place is squeaky clean and a superb place to live.
