Bangor

"Pleasant and bland"

Bangor - aside from the snide remarks about the name, no-one knows where this is.
Because there's nothing notable about it. It's a bland, pleasant, unremarkable place.
For excitement there's a trip to Westfield Miranda. Exotic dinner at Pete's Bangor Chinese,

I visit my brother there and even he just shrugs his shoulders when I ask him "why Bangor?"

Good luck to all the residents trying to talk up their location, but no-one is excited to live in Bangor.

Your comment a little bit negative for someone that doesnot live in the area I think. It is very safe area to live ,you can walk and jog outside without worry that you gonna get gun shot like Bankstown here. Also there are many bush tracks that you can ride bike or walk to Woronora River. There are IGA ,cafe, butcher, post office, nail spa, hair salon, car wash, bakery, medical center and great tavern here.
I know it is a bit far from city but there is express to city within 35 mins too.
I just want to let you know the fact before you give comment for what you not really know.
Thank you.

Some of Sydneys biggest Gangsters originate from 2234 and bangor has had 1 or 2 shootings itself lol so know your facts before you start talking about other suburbs. Menai is the one of the most beautiful areas in Sydney and perfect for familys and kids I rank it #3

Kareela

"Kareela - a 1960's suburb in looks and attitude"

Kareela isn't even the best suburb in southern Sydney. Says the real estate market.
It's for people who haven't travelled, have low expectations, and believe the Insular Peninsula is exceptional.

It was established in the 1960s and the look and attitudes remain anchored in that era.
The many brick veneer homes give the area an unattractive and unfashionable look.
Which pretty much sums up Kareela.

It's location on a peninsula does make for a more traffic free and peaceful area. The beach is not far away.

There are no well paid jobs in Kareela, so you will be commuting on the poor road and rail networks for hours each day. Universities are equally difficult to reach by anything but car. Beach is close. CBD is an hour away unless you travel at 2am.

Melrose Park

"Unknown suburb with a bland location and atmosphere."

When I lived in Melrose Park, 99% of people would ask "where's that"
It's an area that s nondescript and generally mediocre.
Property prices compared to the rest of Sydney confirm that.

MP is for people that are happy with average.

Kings Langley

"Suburban wasteland"

This is an area to get our of. Bogan central, near Parramatta, best if you are moving from a deprived area and don't understand Sydney real estate.

Jonm8 you seem to be an expert on many different and varied suburbs right across Sydney... Bangor? Kareela?? Melrose Park and now KL... All great suburbs by the way, me thinks you are just a debbie downer with nothing better to do than put down nice suburbs that I dont believe you actually ever lived in. Somebody with such a depressive view on the world should seek professional help asap

ivanab1

@js15 your comment is very rude! Just because they dont share your opinion it doesnt mean that you should start throwing around insults. And to go down to the level of suggesting they should seek professional help, insults not only physicians but also people with mental illnesses. Your comments speak more about your character then they do about the reviewer. If Kings Langley is full of people like yourself....then no thanks!

rr12

@ivanab1 not sure why you get involved in commenting and defending someone who was clearly trying to sell a false narrative on a place they obviously know nothing about, and this includes you too, as you sound like a true Karen. The comments made by js15 are totally valid and possibly not emphasised enough. KL is full of people like us and YOU are certainly best to stay the F away.

ivanab1

@rr12 lol. If anyone sounds like the Karen it is you. A response full of anger and swear words. I.e Quite typical of Karen and bogan behaviour with little emotional intelligence or insight. If KL is full of people like you then you are correct that I am best staying away. A little heads up -you are not doing your suburb any favours. You don't need me or anyone else discrediting your suburb as you are doing that yourself with your aggressive behaviour. People looking to buy a house read these comments and then wonder/worry "will I end up living next door to an aggressive person like this?"

I feel its a great suburb with larger lot sizes and awesome green cover. Houses are well spaced from each other and topography is good.
The reputation and numbers speak for themselves....
Any house in KL is not on market for long. Be it for rent or outright sale. If it did not make sense the numbers wouldn't add up.
