"Hidden gem in the hills area"

We moved into Kings Langley last year and love this area already. Neighbourhood is really nice, people actually greet you while passing by. Very quite, green and peaceful. "A friendly and safe suburb where people take pride in their homes"

Our young family have been living in Kings Langley for 2 years now and we love the area. Neighbours are very friendly. Plenty of greenery and parks for the little ones. You always feel safe. It would be nice to see some better cafes/restaurants though. Still a 5 star suburb overall.

"Truly amazing place to live"

I have been living in Sydney over 5 years. lived in many places.
Here is one of few places in Sydney you can walk at night without being scared of strangers in the dark. I believe the price here is still affordable compared to the surrounding suburbs such as Glenwood, Baulkham Hills and Bella Vista. In some points, it's even better with 100% electricity line free over the houses. Commuting to city is not very bad either. I park my car near Plymouth Cres and take a short walk to Joseph Banks T-way to take 607/617x bus. It takes around one hour door to door.
One more thing I'd like to comment out about this suburb is that it's surrounded by great cycle tracks as well as the surrounding (more expensive) suburbs. Also no need to mention about nice neighbors. decided to live here as long as possible.
Pros
  • Quiet and green
  • Safe and friendly

"“A perfect place to live, no matter your age”"

Kings Langley is reknown for being a quiet suburb and near by all motorways. The M4 (now Toll free) providing fast and easy access to Penrith and Blue Mountains, the M7/Cumberland Highway to the outer Western Suburbs. To the Airport via M2 & M5 and pretty much anywhere you want to go in good time.

A very quiet suburb and a recommendation to all people looking for a peaceful place to live.

A choice of 2 local shopping centre areas, and also a choice of Westpoint shopping centre, newly built Rousehill shops and also castle hill towers are all within a short drive. There are plenty of Parks in the area and many bike tracks and walking paths.

The City is only 20 minutes (weekends) away via M2, yet local.
No need to go anywhere just rotate locally. Have lived in Kings Langley for 3 years now and love it.
Anyone is friendly in this neighbourhood.

"Best suburb in NSW"

Kings Langley is a suburb that is truely close to everything.

It is close to the M7, M4 and M2 motorways which connect you to all major cities in the Sydney suburbs. The Busways route 718 goes from Kings Langley to Seven Hills, where there is a railway station and shops. The Hills bus route T61 takes advantage of the new Transit way and can get you from Kings Langley to either Blacktown or Parramatta in less than 20 minutes, where you can find major shopping centers, railway stations, hospitals and plenty of work opportunities.

There are several shopping centers in and around Kings Langley. Kings Langley Shopping centre features a Coles and Woolworths supermarket, liquor shop, Post office, TAB, award winning butcher Mardon Meats, newsagency and a whole host of specialty stores. Solander Centre offers an independent supermarket, pharmacy, newsagency and a great take away shop. Just across Old Windsor Road is a new retail precedent called Circa. At the moment, it is home to a Woolworths supermarket and several specialty stores, but will soon become a major shopping centre. 2 kms away from Kings Langley is Seven Hills shopping centre featuring Coles, Woolworths and Aldi. Westpoint Blacktown is the major shopping centre in the area, with 4 levels of shopping.

There are several doctors and dentists in Kings Langley, as well as a physiotherapist and several optometrists. The new Norwest Private Hospital is located near Circa, and Blacktown Public Hospital is close as well.

Vardy's Road Primary and Kings Langley Public School are among the best K-6 schools in the district, but unfortunately there is no high school in Kings Langley. Most parents choose to get their high school students educated at nearby Seven Hills High, Crestwood High or Model Farms High.

An Adventist aged care facility has been established on the west side of Kings Langley and close to the shopping centre. Kings Langley offers several large parks with play equipment and sporting grounds. All streets are quiet, and the Westlink M7 won't bother you as long as you are a good 100m away from it. There are plenty of Cycle-ways for the cycling or walking enthusiast.

All services are underground and the area is far away from airports, railway tracks and rubbish dumps. Houses are reasonably priced, but are on the rise at the moment. All in all, great suburb for anyone.

Jhai Mitchell It's not hard to see why Kings Langley has been voted one of the top five places to live in Australia, be it the incredible scenery, the fact that it's a safe play to raise a family, the proximity to modern living amenities or simply that it presents a neighbourly atmosphere there's an endless list of reasons to draw prospective buyers into this unique suburban location; truly a hidden gem.

"What a beautiful place to live!"

We live in Kings Langley for more than 9 years and we enjoy every moment. It has a lot of parks/green fields. The local sports clubs are great. The suburb looks nice and tidy and there is NO over-head power lines. Local schools are pretty good and my kids love them. You can use both M2 and M7 to go around Sydney, also you have Old Windsor Road as well. Public transport is good, plenty of buses can take you to Seven Hills Station and Blacktown Station and Parramatta Station.
It is a beautiful and peaceful suburb and really good for kids to grow up. Neighbors are friendly and cheerful and you can do you daily shopping at night. (The local shops open to 12PM.)

"Reminds me of a small county town atmosphere"

We purchased a property 10 years ago when not married yet because we liked the suburb and atmosphere. Since this time we married and had 3 children. Two years ago we all moved into Kings Langley. This area still has the right neighbours, convienient shops and an M7 nearby. There has been no problems in my street or any nearby. The community likes to go for walks, ride bikes and even has own carols by candelight. We feel safe. In terms of people's con's I prefer not to have local pub within the suburb and avoid drunk behaviour, public transport is fine and most parents send kids to all sorts of High School's that are not in their own suburb.

"Best in the Hills"

I've lived in Kings Langley since 1995. Its a fairly new suburb that keeps the area looking great, No fibro homes here. The suburb boasts well constructed brick homes and there is new home construction still going on. Both older and younger areas are leafy and clean. Brand new huge private hospital/medical centre with emergency facilities nearby at bella vista, 2 shopping centres. Small businesses opening every day, bringing excellent services of all kinds to the area. Go any where with all the highways at your disposal.

"A lovely place to live"

Moved here in 2008 and have been really impressed with the quietness and sense of safety here. It's a friendly, family-oriented suburb with lots of green spaces for walks, the M7 bike track is close and is a great place to walk the dog or cycle. It's close to everything but far enough away that you don't get the noise and traffic. A real plus is you don't get a lot of through traffic - you really only drive through Kings Langley if you live here or are visiting.

"Best suburb in Sydney!"

Have been living in Kings Langley for a number of years and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
M7 and M2 partically surround the suburb with a 5 mins drive to the nearest station. There are buses that frequent the main roads in the suburb to Blacktown, Castle hill, Seven Hills station and Parramatta t-way service.
There is almost not traffic, expect for peak hour at the Seven Hills rd and Joseph Banks Drive intersections and from James Cook to Sunny Holt Road.
There are local doctors, dentist, physios and numerous natural and alternative therapist in the suburb and close by is Norwest Private Hospital and Blacktown Public Hospital. Neighbouring suburbs also house many medical professionals.
There are 2 primary schools in Kings Langley and many primary and secondary schools, both government and non-government, in nearby suburbs.
The house prices and rental potential are always on the increase so it's a great investment area.
Although there may not be a huge number of nightlife, eating out/pub, secondary school options actually in Kings Langley, the surounding suburbs offer plenty within a few minutes drive.

"Fantastic sense of local community."

This suburb has a fantastic community feel. I've been living here for 5 years and the way neighbours offer to help out is infectious & something neither I or my wife have experienced before. The suburb features a annual village fair and a carols by candelight event, both community events are held at the picket fenced Pearce Reserve that also has a 4 court tennis complex. There are many quiet cul-de-sac streets in the suburb and an amazing amount of family friendly parklands. The village shopping centre features both major supermarket chains and a vast array of food outlets. Kings Langley Public school has a fine reputation and the suburb is well served by buses that take you directly to Parramatta, Blacktown, Castle Hill or nearby Rail Stations. Overall you feel safe in KL and by moving here we believe we made the perfect choice for our young family. The only downside is the suburb has no High School.

GMC76 Been living in KL for over five years, lived in the Hills before that all my life. I have no idea which streets in KL are supposed to be noisy or what he is comparing the noise to. James Cook Drive in front of the local shops during afternoon weekday peak hour is the busiest area, but seriously, it's not like bumper to bumper big city traffic, just local people heading home via the shops, not enough traffic to cause frustration or irritation. My street has 7 homes, four of them have been occupied by the same residents for upward of 30 years with no intention of moving, from experience that says plenty.

annelyf I do not know which street you may have lived in simonval but I don't believe you spent too much time really checking out the neighbourhood. I lived in Kings Langley for around 14 years and my daughter lives there now. It is a lovely quiet area and the locals are very friendly. None of the snobbishness of the higher priced places. Love this suburb and would be still living there now if I hadn't moved to Townsville.

"A Hidden Treasure"

We moved from Winston Hills as we wanted more house and land for our money and we got it but we also got a beautiful neighbourhood, quiet, green, friendly neighbours and a community spirit.

"Wouldn't live anywher else!"

Kings Langley has everything you need. Great shops, all the medical needs are catered for - doctors, dentists, optometetrists, physio all within the suburb. Hospitals can be reached easily by public transport or car. The m7 and m2 within a few minutes to take you to the city or country. Very friendly neighbours and it's clean and safe. The resale value is fantastic. Save up and spend a little bit more and live in the best suburb in the hills district. You won't reget it!!

"Kings Langley - who could live anywhere else."

My family and I have lived here now for over 12 years. It is beautiful and green and has been a great place to raise my family in a safe environment. There are plenty of trees, parklands, singing birds, happy people, close to transport, and all the necessary amenities that you need. Yes, some of the houses are 40 years plus however we researched the notion of renovations versus moving a while back and we decided renovations were better as you can not get this kind of lifestyle and serenity anywhere else, not to mention having a major hospital Norwest Private, and many other major retails stores close by such as the local Kings Langley Shops and Solander Rd, Seven Hills Centro, The Circa, Parklea Markets, Westpoint, also the M2, M7 links at your door step along with other major road links close by. I can not imagine moving away from here anytime soon. We love Kings Langley.

Treesnleaves
Treesnleaves I agree! Kings Langley is indeed a wonderful place to bring up a family and all the conveniences are at your door step.
It is much more appealing then undesirable nearby suburbs such as Doonside, Blackett, Shalvey, Bidwell and Tregear which have a high population of Housing Commission accommodation and atrocious crime rates.
Kings Langley is highly affordable so if you are looking for a decent area in the western suburbs out near Blacktown you should take a close look at Kings Langley and what it has to offer!

"Kings Langley Continues To Impress"

I have lived in Kings Langley for about 20 years and it is still full of surprises. The suburb and it's facilities never cease to impress me. Whether it is the friendly neighbours, the peace and quite, the superb parklands or the close proximity to services, I cannot imagine life without this suburb.
All the other reviews here speak of the great parks, the safety and the services (schools, shops, medical etc.), yet I can simply say that I have not had a bad experience in KL ever.

"Serene & Clean"

Kings Langley is a great place to live.

The suburb is quiet, well established and has been well planned with great open green spaces and plenty of room for kids to play. Kings Langley School is one of the best in the state. The shopping centre has a Coles and Woolworths, Post Office and quite a few other shops including bank ATM's. There are playing fields with a cricket ground and tennis courts and plenty of parks. Public transport provides regular scheduled services to Blacktown & Seven Hills as well as service to the T-way with connections to other major centres.

Neighbours are friendly and will often say Hello whilst out walking, and there is a great community spirit.

"Clean and Green"

Kings Langley is an oasis in the North West. Great surroundings due to its abundance of parkland and lack of overhead power lines. Close to both the M2 and M7 make travel by car easy plus access to public transport is excellent due to Bus T-ways on both the east and west sides of the suburb.

Kings Langley is blessed with two local shopping centres, one with both Coles and Woolworths. There's also 4 restaurants and 5 takeaways for the times when you don't want to cook.

For recreation Kings Langley has many parks including the beautifully presented Cricket ground, soccer fields and easy "ride up" access to the M7 bike way. Bike lanes also exist in a northerly direction and extend all the way to Windsor.

Kings Langley Public School is considered one of the best primary schools in the state. With a dedicated team of staff the school often achieves highly academically and also in the areas of sports and the Arts.

I've lived in Kings Langley for over 10 years and love the suburb - there's just something about it.
