Bushland Beach

"Great beach lifestyle and investment opportunity."

I bought my 3rd investment property in Bushland Beach in May 2007 for $313,000.

Bank valuation last week was $420,000.

Again, steady capital growth and I personally think this area will be HUGE within the next 5-10 yrs.

The laid back beach lifestyle is what will attract the families and couples or retirees to this suburb. Also, its within a major road that drives you almost straight into the CBD which is approx 20 mins away.

Beautiful quiet beaches, only local traffic and many new homes are major pluses for this suburb to raise a family or invest in. The suburb on a whole feels 'new' and fresh and has become very popular over the last few years.

Thankyou and take care.

Great for

  • Beach lifestyle
  • Quiet and peaceful
  • Perfect family enviroment

Not great for

  • 20 mins to CBD
  • No major shopping

Mount Louisa

"Excellent investment potential"

I bought my 2nd investment property in Mount Louisa in February 2007 for $337,000.

Bank valuation last week was $425,000.

Steady capital growth, let down a little by the GFC. But I think there is a lot of room for growth in the future as it is a sort after area. Now is the time to buy.

Mount Louisa is a "middle-point" so to speak. A lot of beautiful new estates there and all are close proximity to everything.

Traffic can get a little busy towards 4-6pm, otherwise it constantly flows nicely throughout the day.

Plenty of shopping, parks, schools in the area. Again, a very popular area which will be very sort after in the future.

At the rate Townsville is growing, its a perfect time to add a property in Mount Louisa to your portfolio or let it be a GREAT place to raise your family.

Thankyou and take care.

Kelso

"Great place to invest"

I bought my very first investment property in Kelso back in October 2003 for $129,000. Bank valuation last week was $340,000.

I have never had the house vacant over the last 7 yrs. As soon as tennant leaves, there is a new tennant ready to move straight in.

Im sure this property/suburb will perform over the next 20 yrs and make me a lot of money. Its nice and peaceful, close to the "ring road" which is convienent for those who work at the hospital, go to Uni and the Army barracks.

Thankyou and take care.

Great for

  • Great place to invest
  • Quiet and peaceful suburb
  • Close to hospital, Uni and Army barracks

Not great for

  • 15 mins from CBD
  • Average public transport
  • No nightlife except the local pub

Broadbeach Waters

"Excellent suburb with HUGE investment potential"

Just bought my 4th investment waterfront property in Broadbeach Waters for $830,000.

Capital growth has been very good here over the last 10 yrs and I expect similar growth for the future.

I love everything Broadbeach Waters has to offer. Walking distance to Pacific Fair, the beach and the cafe strip. This is a great place to invest and/or to raise a family.

Great schools, recreation and shopping in BB Waters. Looking forward to moving into this property in the future and having my children enjoy the BB Waters lifestyle.

This is one property that will stay in the family forever.

Thankyou and take care.

Great for

  • Walking distance to everything
  • World class beaches
  • World class shopping

Not great for

  • Traffic can get a little busy sometimes

Great review thanks! I'm from NSW but looking at an investment property on BB Waters next week. Every single photo is scenic, clean, pretty and tidy. The descriptions all say things like "enjoy the water skiing, jet skiing, boating etc. and one expression used was 'bridge free'...what does that mean? I don't anything about living on the waters, are there lots of rules? Many thanks.

Sorry for the late reply Jules.

Bridge free means that there is no bridge to pass under to gain ocean access. This is helpful if you want to own a large boat.

Where my property is, there is a smallish bridge that I will have to drive my boat under to cruise through the canals out to sea. But it's all good, I will purchase a boat to suit when the time comes.

Rules.........there are no rules!

Nah, kidding. No specific rules other than the ones you need to follow if building a new property on your block.

I wish you all the best Jules, take care and enjoy.
