My good friend grew up on this street. Her family came to Asquith in 1962 at that time the property that was purchased by her grandfather was an orchard. Over time and as development in the area grew so did Sunnymeade Close.
As the name suggests it is a delightful sunny, yet leafy street. I’m completely jealous of the friendships they had with their neighbours in the street which included holding street Christmas parties.
The street being a cul-de-sac means that kids can play safely on the street, not that they needed to as they had plenty of room on their properties.

Known as Civic, this place has heaps of shops, great nightclubs and pubs. Fond memories of the merry-go-round in the centre of the mall from when I was a kid.
You also have Capital Theatre, where I saw the Mikado many many years back, it was a great venue.
The whole area has had a revamp in the last 5 years and definitely for the better.

Great place for raising a young family ?
Well Kim C, could you elaborate a bit more on this simplistic statement?
Local child care facilities, proximity to schools (are there any schools within 10 miles?), access to medical/hospital care?
Obviously you have never lived in the district.
