East Brisbane

"Close to everything"

It’s what you would expect. You pay for proximity to the city.

"Beautiful area but very rural"

This is a stunning part of the country. How lucky brisbane is to be so near to this wilderness area. I had a friend who owned massive property here. It was beautiful. But it’s not much of a family suburb and more of a farm stay/rural setting. There’s so development going on around the outskirts and Boronia Heights is a lovely family suburb on the north of it. There are lots of snakes in this suburb though lol. Big pythons etc. so something to consider

"Decent but secluded"

It’s not a bad suburb, it’s bayside Brisbane in moreton bay. If your use to the quality schools of Brisbane you may be left disappointed. It feels secluded and a bit end of the line. If you are travelling to Brisbane or Gold Coast often it can get old quick. The bay is not a very attractive area, but there are water views for the top spenders.

"The good and the bad"

The train station has been a good addition since 2016 but my concern is still it’s proximity to public housing in north lakes/Kalangur area. The schools are quite hit and miss and there is a strong bogan influence in this area of Brisbane. I left in 2021 so not sure how it is now but I wouldnt move back. I prefer south Brisbane as the schools are higher quality.
