Eltham

"The great outdoors, great restaurants, and lovely neighbours all in one spot."

My family and I moved to Eltham this year, and it has been fantastic. It's peaceful with loads of beautiful trees, flowers, and birds. There are heaps of great places to go walking or riding, great restaurants and cafes. There are great schools and friendly families, and we are the most vaccinated area in metro Melbourne, which reflects very well on the type of people living here!

St Kilda

"Close to everything, but plenty of quiet places"

Our apartment on Greeves Street is close to everything, but also peaceful and quiet. I would recommend living in St Kilda to anyone.

10 minute walk to the beach
2 minute walk to the Skybus (for jetsetters!)
7 minutes walk to 3 different tram routes, including the terminus of the fantastic 96
7 minute walk to the famous Acland Street
7 minutes walk to the beautiful St Kilda botanical gardens bordering Elwood
7 minute walk to the amazing St Kilda Adventure Park Playground (for parents!)
Countless cafes, restaurants, parks, doctors within 10 minutes

Add to this the events and the famous venues like The Espy (Hotel Esplanade), Luna Park, and Palais Theatre... and what more could you want? :)

What do you think about the Esplanade - is it safe for women to walk back from work alone at night? Is it noisy there? Thank you

The Esplanade is noisy and quite busy, so I think mostly safe. Late at night, it might be a little dangerous, but overall St Kilda is a pretty peaceful place.
