We lived on Peterson street looking over the Peterson street reserve and loved it! Gets busy on weekends with cricket and footy but just ads to the atmosphere.

I lived in Highett and started our family there we lived in Peterson street and loved having the park and playground over the road from our home. We enjoyed walks to the skate park on highett road and the little park at the end of ashwood ave. The area is constantly on the improve with renovations, new homes and units being built. You only have to look at the prices of property in Hampton to work out that Highett is great value bayside of the train line and has a great future, I am a true believer and still own property in Highett. The new shopping centre is excellent. Buses run along Wickham and Highett rds and the train from Highett shops so transport is pretty convenient. A trip to the beach is best by bike or car but still convenient. Southland sc is close by also highett values are slightly cheaper on the east side of nepean hwy. Quiet friendly place to live.

A great little suburb between Murrumbeena and Oakleigh easy access to Hughesdale and Oakleigh stations and shops, beautiful period homes, tree lined streets, great selection of local schools chadstone shopping centre and a great community.
