Ivanhoe

"Great spot for access all areas."

I spent my teenage years in Ivanhoe and loved it. It is Zone One so close to the city via the train or only a 20 min drive. It is also not far from Yarra Valley, Warrandyte area, Fairfield Park for all the activities those areas have to offer. There didn't seem to be many other kids around, but with great public transport it was easy to get to places to meet up.

North Melbourne

"Only place I've ever been robbed."

Don't get me wrong, I loved living in North Melbourne, I lived in three different streets over my time there. It was great 'cause I could walk to work in West Melbourne, Errol St is fantastic for quirky shops and some true culinary delights, it is so close to the city that it is easy to take part in all the city has to offer.

The downside is that I got robbed there, even with quite good security, and I had a small fire in my flat (when I wasn't home) that all my neighbours pretty much ignored, not a single call to the fire brigade? So perhaps lacking in community spirit...

Abbotsford

"Heaps to do"

I loved living in Abbotsford. Although it was quite busy and sometimes noisy, there are some fantastic facilities and it is soooo close to the city, you are pretty much living there. I loved having small children there as there was really good places for them as well; the parks, collingwood childrens farm etc. But as children got older it didn't really suit... too many drugs around and the bordering roads are just too busy.

Montmorency

"Great for families"

Monty is my favourite suburb I have lived in. It has a great community feel. Fantastic for kids. Great schools and facilities either in the suburb or neighbouring suburbs.
