"Victoria Point"
Victoria Point is a lovely place.
We moved here from Annerley a bit more than a year ago, seaching for somewhere with more space.
We found much more than we expected here. Our kids go to a good private school here and we are very happy with that. I would not recommend the state schools here at all.
There are some really nice people here and most of them are seniors with great stories about the old days in victoria point.
There are endless places to ride your bike, fish, ski, almost any recreational activity you can think of. We have had some trouble with theives breaking into our house a few times but this is really not a big issue as this happens everywhere.
There is less public transort here than Cleveland but it's ok for the essentials. If you have teenagers and are moving from Brisbane you should consider the reality of driving them everywhere..seriously. It is probably better for the retired couple or those families without kids but great for the families with kids if you live in right place and are well off. Victoria point is a really nice place but is a long way from anywhere else and has plenty of teenagers who would like to go there.
We could really use some public transport.
It's quiet, cheap and great value if you are prepared to wait for capital gains. If you can buy a house near the water, I'm sure you will enjoy life here.

Hey ockey, the amount of stars depends on the person doing the review. You would say five stars but it's my review.
I moved from Annerley but was not comparing the two places in any way. I think you can only compare like for like.
Annerley is a suburb of Brisbane city and Victoria Point is a town 40km away in Redland Bay. For public transport, convenience, shopping, distance to city, food, entertainment etc etc, it would be impossible to make a reasonable arguement in favour of Victoria Point. For peace and quiet, space, flat easy bike riding, boating etc it would be just as impossible to make an arguement in favour of Annerley. Chalk and cheese just can't be compared, so I think your statment that Victoria point is better than Annerley any day is simplistic to say the least.
miffy vicky point is a 5 star suburb better than annerly any day an public transport is very good my wife catches the bus right outside house and gets dropped off right accross the road
