"Great place to live"

So it has been a little bit more than 1 years since I read some reviews in here and decided to move to here. At first some negative reviews has made me a bit worried but now it is just balance out and I have no regrets. Thanks for all previous reviews!

Most negative is concerning about public transport to Brisbane for work and it has some point. I found the bus 276 one straight to Brisbane is very reliable in terms of time, it takes about 1h 45 min to get in there so it is a bit long time. I can not work on the bus though, it is too bumpy for this (not line on train). The frequency of this bus line is `just enough` for working commuters, if you miss these main time, then you need to take several buses lines and they are not really reliable but not too bad too.

If you want to work on the train to save time, then you can drive to Cleveland Station (takes about 15 m and there are ample free car parking spaces). Or ride a bike to the station - it is just about 9KM and traffic is pretty stable (traffic jam is not frequently happened).

Other than that nothing - it is just a heaven place to live in. Experiencing walking in beach front work with very friendly locals, kayaking or boating to the Coochie islands, enjoy cool sea breeze
all the time. All goodies have been in many other post so I do not repeat it here.

"Go elsewhere - Renters and dogs"

Many retirees are moving out of the area. Large numbers of people who have barking dogs and renters who don't maintain their lodgings. Council does nothing about barking complaints. most yards have at least two dogs.

Hi John, is this just on certain streets or blocks or are there nicer spots? Thanks,

"Minutes to the water edge"

Victoria Point remains the most popular suburb in the Redlands. Affordability and convenience would be the main selling points for home owners living here.

Only minutes to Thompson’s Beach and the gateway to Stradbroke islands, a good selection of schools are available for you to choose from.

It’s also a good suburb for 1st home buyers.

"Excellent compromise between city and semi-rural living"

I've lived here for around 8 years and love it. Victoria Point is an easy 20 minute mainly semi-rural drive to central hubs for shopping such as Loganholme and also the M1 for easy access to the Gold Coast. Capalaba is 15 minutes away and Carindale around 20 mins for more shopping and access to the Gateway Motorway north. It offers awesome waterside/bayside living with beautiful sheltered beaches, islands only a short ferry ride away with an excellent cinema and dining hub at Lakeside right in the middle of VP. The furthest part of VP wouldn't be more than a 5-6 minute drive frm the water. The cinemas are at least half the price of mainstream cinemas yet are the same quality or better with one screen being the biggest in Qld. Sirromet Winery is only a 10 minute drive away for 5 star dining or spending a lazy afternoon on the Tuscan Terrace and is open most days including breakfasts. The well equipped YMCA fitness centre/gym is part of a much larger sporting and pool complex where off peak memberships are less than $10/week at time of writing. It has 2 Woolworths and 1 Coles supermarket, an Aldi plus a K-Mart and a reasonable selection of variety shops. However with the larger hubs being within a 20 minute drive there isn't much you won't find. Public transport isn't bad but not great either. There are plenty of buses but it's a bit of a journey to get anyway including the city. The is no rail with the closest being Cleveland which is a 15 minute drive then the actual train trip to the city which is an hour or more depending on the service. Traffic is OK within reason but as VP has the only supermarkets between Cleveland and Redland Bay it does get busy during the usual school peak hours though the roads are gradually being upgraded. However there are multiple routes in/out and around VP so it's nowhere near as bad as the suburbs closer the the city and motorways. The area continues to be developing and expanding rapidly with much of the semi-rural blocks in Redland Bay to the south, Thornelands to the north and Mt Cotton to the west being developed. Houses vary in price but are north of what many would consider 'average'. Cheaper 3-bed houses are currently generally north of $450,000 with 4-bed modern houses closer to $500 - 550k and the more premium residences upward of $600k - 650k (or more as you get within sight of the bay). There are plenty of established houses on decent sized blocks (600m2+) though there is very limited land left in VP itself with most of those now 450m2 or smaller. There are a number of retirement villages in the area as it is an ideal enclave for retirees given its easy to get around and has good services and amenities. Plenty of parks and family friendly spaces and plenty of walking paths. There is a library and plenty of coffee shops around as well as a specialty butcher and fresh produce stores around the Aldi/Lakeside area. There are a number of schools in and around VP - the high school doesn't have a great reputation but there are others such as Cleveland High and Kimberley College with do and both have regular buses to and from VP. A great place for families and the prices here will only go up as more and more people discover this 'hidden' suburb by the sea.

Wow thanks for such a great and detailed review. Im from Sydney but used to live in GC & SC but had a busienss in Toowong and in-laws in Redcliffe, Nudgee area. Id never even heard of Victoria PT til I located an Airbnb there. We are trying different suburbs with Airbnb before we either rent or buy. (I havent given up hope of building on our block in Eumundi).

what would you say the people and the vibe/energy of the suburbs is like? I know beaches arent great in Brisbane but I dont do well with chlorinated pools and I do love a swim in ocean preferably with minimal to now waves.

Rentals in Victoria Point

"A Water Side Family Friendly Location with Reasonable commute to Brisbane"

We bought a house in Victoria Point last year. Moved up from Sydney.

The location is just beautiful. Lots of parks for children. A few min walk to the Ferry to a calm sandy beach, 5 min drive to the bigger ferry terminal out to lots more islands. Very friendly suburb with small cafe’s, bakeries etc as well as a decent Westfields at the beginning of the point.

With lots of outdoor activities, fresh air, good sized homes and blocks, plus good State Schools and well ranked Catholic schools, this location was a great find and the place we wanted our children to grow up.

I commute into Brisbane (35-45min - nothing compared to my old Sydney commute) which is an easy enough drive.

The buses into Carindale are frequent and well serviced for those preferring public transport or you can drive to the nearby train station.

All in all we love Victoria Point.

Hi there, we too are looking at moving up there from Sydney. Do you drive to Brisbane or catch public transport? Wondering what the drive is like (nothing like the dreaded M5 I assume!!)

catherinel11

Hi Leigh, sorry Ive only just noticed your comment. I drive from VP. Most days its a pretty good commute. Nothing like the traffic jams that youll be used to (unless the weather is terrible). If youre going to be reliant on public transport (and want to be near the water) consider Cleavland, Manly or Wynnum - they have rail stations.

"Beats Brisbane any day!"

We lived in Victoria Point for several years before moving to suburban Brisbane and have decided to return to Victoria Point because it's a far better place to raise a family than Brisbane. So much more for children and young people to do: bay, boats, swimming, sports, parks, shops, malls, cinemas, library - all within short drive and/or easy walk. The cinema cost is reasonable compared to Brisbane prices so something we can do often as opposed to rarely here in Brisbane. Generally, people are far friendlier and greater sense of community than in Brisbane. All facilities are here with ease of access. Schools are good - all the primary schools (Redlands, Victoria Point, Thornlands, Cleveland) are as good as if not better than the ones we have experienced here in Brisbane. Our son will be going to Victoria Point primary school. The High Schools offer good programmes - depending on what your child is interested in. We will send our children to Faith Lutheran College because it is a good school, not too large i.e impersonal and close to our home (walk/bike). The Lutheran schools are good schools and reasonably priced compared to some of the stand alone independent schools (Sheldon College, Ormiston College, Redlands College). Only downside of Victoria Point is the public transport to Brisbane City/CBD. At present there is only a bus service which takes well over one hour with infrequent buses leaving/arriving. The only way to commute is drive to 8 Mile Plains bus station and take the express bus in.

Great for

  • Great place to raise a family and to retire!
  • Magnificent fishing
  • Excellent bikeways
  • Friendly
  • Gods country

Not great for

  • Poor public transport for commuters to Brisbane city
  • Expensive council rates
  • The only thing missing is a Train Line.

"This place has everything"

We moved from NSW 6 months ago and can not believe how fantastic this place is. We can walk to 3 different waterside parks, we can walk to 2 different leash free parks , there are bike tracks, picture perfect parks with BBQ facilities, boat ramps, walk to cares and restaurants and we paid half of what we sold our house for in NSW.
Which means we have no mortgage and a better house near the water and not too far from the city. Every day feels like a new beginning and in weekends we can't wait to do something new or try a new restaurant, a ferry ride to a different island or bike ride around. A few lone tree away in Cleveland here are even more restaurants , there are restrictions with public transport, but working in Carindale means I only have a 25 minute drive and I don't have to pay a single toll and heaps of parking. I'm loving life in Victoria Point and stumbled across it accidentally after spending months looking all over Brisbane, our little family has found our own little paradise and our friends and family love to come and visit us. In Sydney you can't even buy a run down 2 bedroom unit in Clovelly with no view for under $700k , up here we got a big house with pool, views and lifestyle for under $700k and there are houses on the market for $400k still really close to everything. The downside if you could call it one, we had to pay for private school for our kids, the council rates are very high ( $978 per quarter), and tradespeople are a lot more expensive up here than in Sydney ( don't know why as overall living is heaps cheaper here but we got fence quotes that were different in price by 40% and we had a dodgy plumber install a basin that the tap blew off 2 months later and that was over the top as well and he didn't want to repair or refund). But that could be just bad luck and happen anywhere. I am not kidding when I tell you the cinema here is fantastic and is only $4.50 for a child and $6.50 for an adult. We were paying $12 and $17 in Sydney so lifestyle and family life for us has improved 10 fold and we can afford to do heaps more things than we could before which offsets the expensive tradespeople . Feels like a holiday at home everyday of the week. Best choice we ever made.

Can I ask how long ago you moved for Sydney and is the area also good for busy 50 year old who like beaches great restaurants etc ? thank you

Hi WW, I live in Manly Sydney after but I lived in a few places in Clovelly (we probably passed each other at Charlies Foodworks or the beach ) . I know the beaches arent fabulous in Bris but what do you think of the swimming at beach/bay? Im not great with chlorine.

We have a block of land in Eumundi but hubby is in commercial construction so I said Id try Bris living whilst he builds business up.

Staying in an Airbnb there in a weeks time then airbnb in Victorias Point. Nice people, calm positive energy and a somewhat swimmable beach is important to me.

Thanks so much

Also I do love the community vibes from having lived in Clovelly, Peregian Beach and Collaroy Plateau. Close enough to city and restaurants and still by the water. What would you say the people and energy is like? Sounds like youre really loving it there. Any suggestions for where I can chill out, get great coffee or have a nice meal in Victorias Point?

Thanks so much

"Great lifestyle for families, full of schooling options"

This suburb is a place that offers people a variety of lifestyle options, with access to the bay so close, as well as the ferry to the islands; there are a variety of restaurants and a huge cineplex, and lots of buses. We moved to the suburb next to VP, and I drive my child to school each day, so I know the local traffic can be problematic around school pickup times, but nothing unmanageable. Most people tend to move between Cleveland and Victoria Point and use all the facilities in the area, but VP is like the area's main hub. Between Victoria Point and the odd visit to Capalaba all our shopping needs are covered and there are lots of after school activities, with the YMCA, lots of dance schools within a short drive, music tuition, sports clubs, etc. For families there is a wide selection of schools, and some very good state schools in the area, but RBSS seems top of the pile, and we drive past 3 local schools to attend Redland Bay State School, including one around the corner and a private school, and find this school well worth the daily drive. There are a number of private schools, or a very good state high school within a short bus ride, in Cleveland SHS, which offers such a variety of programs that many kids move there from private schools in year 11 and 12 to take advantage of an extensive range of VET programs and huge choice of subjects. Parents are really spoilt for choices with schools, but with lots of families moving into the area, there is no shortage of people to fill these schools.

Great for

  • Great for families
  • Lots of high quality schools
  • Lots of afterschool activities for kids
  • Magnificent fishing
  • Excellent bikeways
  • Excellent public bus transport.

  • The traffic can be bad at times

Is there a primary catchment area for the state schools though? or do they not exist anymore? My husband and I will be moving in the Redlands area, but still have not decided on a suburb or schools. We have a 3 and 5 year old. Could you recommend and primary schools (state or private, not too expensive)? and have you heard much about Redland Bay, just not very good reviews. Thanks

"A little piece of paradise"

Victoria Point is a little piece of paradise. There is no shortage of parks, restaurants, medical facilities and shopping centres. The cinemas are first class and there is easy access to some wonderful private schools. I personally have had no problems with the state primary school and if heresay is anything to go by the state high school has recently picked up it's game. The traffic can be a bit hectic in peak times but with the road improvements to Cleveland well under way that should be resolved soon. The buses are regular and it is an easy drive to Cleveland to the train station. The bikeways and walking areas are a delight and the people are really friendly. The night life is probably more suited to couples and families with a tavern, Sharks sporting club, cinemas and the resturants. The ferry to Coochie Mudlo is right at the point and the island itself is a great place for a day out with the kids and the grandparents. We are only about 5 minutes drive to Redland Bay which has access to a wonderful array of the Bay islands. Victoria Point is also perfect for boating and fishing for the water lovers. We have some great child care centres and the YMCA has a school holiday vacation plan that suits all ages. It can be a bit trying if you work in Brisbane city as the commute can take a while but then again driving home to a suburb which embraces family life is worth it. We have lived in Victoria Point for 20 years and have raised a family here and wouldn't have it any other way. I still have a teenager at home and he doesn't feel a lack of a social life at all as all of his friends are here and if they want to go further afield they simply hop on a bus. I would highly recommend Victoria Point as a place to live

Lou87 We moved to Brisbane (north west suburbs) and the only good thing about living here is the ease of commute to the city (one hour door to door on train). Otherwise, Victoria Point and the area surrounding is just wonderful compared to where we are at present for families in general: children, teenagers etc. We can't wait to get back there and start enjoying the great lifestyle the area offers. I'd rather have my soon to be teenage daughter "hang out" in the general area at Victoria Point than in Brisbane CBD any day. Brisbane CBD is not a place for young people today.

"Victoria Point"

Victoria Point is a lovely place.
We moved here from Annerley a bit more than a year ago, seaching for somewhere with more space.
We found much more than we expected here. Our kids go to a good private school here and we are very happy with that. I would not recommend the state schools here at all.
There are some really nice people here and most of them are seniors with great stories about the old days in victoria point.
There are endless places to ride your bike, fish, ski, almost any recreational activity you can think of. We have had some trouble with theives breaking into our house a few times but this is really not a big issue as this happens everywhere.
There is less public transort here than Cleveland but it's ok for the essentials. If you have teenagers and are moving from Brisbane you should consider the reality of driving them everywhere..seriously. It is probably better for the retired couple or those families without kids but great for the families with kids if you live in right place and are well off. Victoria point is a really nice place but is a long way from anywhere else and has plenty of teenagers who would like to go there.
We could really use some public transport.
It's quiet, cheap and great value if you are prepared to wait for capital gains. If you can buy a house near the water, I'm sure you will enjoy life here.

miffy

Hey ockey, the amount of stars depends on the person doing the review. You would say five stars but it's my review.
I moved from Annerley but was not comparing the two places in any way. I think you can only compare like for like.
Annerley is a suburb of Brisbane city and Victoria Point is a town 40km away in Redland Bay. For public transport, convenience, shopping, distance to city, food, entertainment etc etc, it would be impossible to make a reasonable arguement in favour of Victoria Point. For peace and quiet, space, flat easy bike riding, boating etc it would be just as impossible to make an arguement in favour of Annerley. Chalk and cheese just can't be compared, so I think your statment that Victoria point is better than Annerley any day is simplistic to say the least.

"What a wonderful place"

Victoria Point is a beautiful Bayside Suburb with limited amenities, all of which are a trip in the car unless you live right near the shopping centre.
The bay is beautiful if you are lucky enough to live anywhere near it. Shopping is limited to Bunnings, supermarkets and the usual specialty shops you would find in a small mall. Any real shopping is a hike. There is plenty of lovely trees.
Public transport is a real problem lagging way behind the other fringe shires like Pine Rivers, Logan or even Caboulture.
The shortest route to brisbane is 45 minutes, so, in peak traffic, it could take any amount of time. If you work in Brisbane then, Vicky point is just not an option. There really is limited job opportunities in the area so unless you own a business here or are retired, I don't know how it might work.
The people in the area are lovely and mostly aged with the remainder of the population being largely at either end of the income scale.
This suburb is absolutely fantastic but even better if you have nothing to do, have lots of money or love to drive.
A lovely spot indeed but as a place to live for the average working person (which represents most people) It would be hard to recommend buying here when there are such great suburbs of Brisbane with similar prices and better potential for capital growth (unless you own a water-front).
I absolutely love the place but as far as great buying goes, unfortunately Victoria point gets one star....no...two

"Best of the bayside suburbs"

Victoria Point is around 38 kilometres from Brisbane CBD right on the coast. The suburb is the gem of the bayside suburbs, there are 3 medical centres, plenty of restaurants, 2 woolworths, 1 coles, 1 aldi as well as a shopping centre with Kmart, plenty of boutique stores, crazy clarks, banks, cafes, 2 post offices as well as a huge cinema complex, lincraft, auto stores etc ,the list goes on. There is nothing you need to drive out if the suburb to get. There is even a Patton Big Gun Meats which offers 20% discount if the supermarkets have a lower price ( they never do) and next door to them is a fruit shop that has more choice than all the supermarkets put together.
There is a huge bunnings and a few nursery shops around for plants and landscaping needs, a ferry to take you to all the islands, excellent boat ramp facilities straight out onto Morton Bay as well as a beautiful walking track around the ocean and plenty of parklands.

The Victoria Point Tavern has excellent food with very reasonable specials, $12 for a surf and turf as well as a variety of kids meals all priced well. A huge sports lounge/TAB. The sharks leagues club has many sporting games that all the locals go and support as well as bands and tribute bands, raffles, bistro ( food not as good as the Tavern and over priced for what it is) drinks are reasonable and entertainment good.

Sirromet winnery is nearby where they host " a day on the green" concerts and have an award winning restaurant.

There is no public transport apart from a few buses, extremely bad in this area, taxi's are expensive as well. The private schools are good but expensive, the local state school is terrible.

House prices are still on the decline, people who bought in 2008 are selling for less than what they paid 4 years ago, there are still a lot of new developments and estates going up which will keep house prices down for a while as ids the case when this happens. Great for people renting as they avoid paying the expensive rates the council in this area charges, seriously, $60-$75 a week is just rude, this is a no go area for investment, you will have a massive out of pocket expense after your rates, agent fees, insurance, mortgage repayments and repairs.

Do your homework coming into this suburb, if you are after lifestyle and family friendly safe environment and you can afford private schools, then you will love it. If you are into boating , fitness and an outdoor lifestyle, you will love it. If you work in the city and you dont like driving then you will not like it.

Resale is bad at present, area is not holding value and is still declining, renting is a cheaper option, rental return is very bad, for a $400k property after all your fees ,rates etc you will still need to come up with over $300 a week for your repayments and cross your fingers no major reapirs need doing. Coucil rates make this place a no go zone for serious investors.

Locals are friendly, climate is great and this is the best suburb in the bayside, oly 50 minutes to the gold coast, 40 minutes, 4o minute to glass house mountains and Mount Tambourine, 40 minutes to the theme parks and 35 minutes to Brisbane CBD makes this an excellent location for a complete lifestyle, if you have a car.

There needs to be more done about the local state schools, when there are more private schools than state schools it is because of the demand, the demand is high because people just do not want to send their kids to the state schools as they are just that bad.

This is a suburb over time that will really go up in value due to the location itself, but it will be a while yet and only when a train station does go in and transport improves, 60 minutes on a bus to Carindale is Ok if your just going shopping but a nightmare if you have to get to work and do it everyday twice a day.

On the whole, an excellent place to live and raise a family and a fantastic location for every activity your heart could desire.

There are around 6 retirement villages in the area, this has it's ups and downs, not good for trying to get around at a reasonable pace when there are toyota crowns doing 30 kilometres down the only road to the shops,

Great for

  • Huge selection of restaurants
  • Every shop you could need
  • Ferry and boat ramps
  • Magnificent fishing
  • Excellent bikeways
  • Friendly

Not great for

  • Expensive council rates
  • Expensive private schools
  • Terrible state schools
  • The only thing missing is a Train Line.

Friend, Here again is your inconsistency. You have identified more negatives with this suburb that almost anywhere else and yet you have given it 5 stars....which is the thing that counts. Are we to assume that you live here? or is it simply a lack of logic

blahdeeblah

Mate, knock yourself out wasting your time worrying about me, I really could not care less what you think about this suburb or any others, I review as I feel, as I can see , so do you. If you want to waste your time giving bad reviews to every suburb I have given a good review to then you clearly have a lot of time on your hands, but if this is what makes you happy, then good for you, we all need an outlet in life, and this is obviously yours, look at you having a go, good for you, glad to see your keeping yourself busy.

blahdeeblah

I would call giving somewhere 2 stars and calling it "a wonderful place" inconsistent, better still, people can read your comment under my redland bay review if they want to see real inconsistency, seeing Redland bay is further our and with less shopping options, you seem to think that is a great place but you have indentified the very things your bagged here as a positive there. lol. Its amusing catching people out who are clearly focused on alteria motives as per your sudden interest in every suburb I have reviewed ever since Keperra review, boo hoo, I dont even live in QLD, and your bagging your own QLD suburbs, luckily my family thata re up here have no intention of selling or moving so your little negatives will never affect them, I might be i the market though soon once prices come down after you finish baggig everywhere, they will be sure to fall even more lol, silly silly.

me wast my time worrying about you? you responded to my comment on feb13 and still stewing about it had to write more chidiish tripe the next day. you have written some pretty strange reviews if you don't live in queensland. We all know you are an agent from the bayside.

"Bunker Road Victoria Point 4165"

Victoria Point boasts a number of schools, shopping centres, a library, and a cinema complex at the Victoria Point Lakeside Centre. Victoria Point is a pretty bayside precinct that ambles along at an easy pace, and is the gateway to Moreton Bay's quirkily named Coochiemudlo Island.
With a multitude of parks and esplanades within its boundaries, Victoria Point is another popular spot for leisurely outdoor afternoons spent strolling, cycling, or enjoying a barbecue with family and friends.
Coochiemudlo Island is just a few minutes from Victoria Point by ferry. Regular passenger ferries and vehicle barges depart every half an hour from the Victoria Point Jetty, Colburn Avenue

Victoria Point has a number of beach areas including popular Thompsons Beach, a small child-friendly area. A number of retirement villages also exist in the suburb.

Great for

  • Excellent public bus transport.
  • Magnificent fishing

"Best place to be in QLD. This is gods country"

Victoria Point has the best of both worlds very good fishing if you know where to go. Peace and tranquility. You can feel the serenity in the area. I have lived in the area most of my life there is only one other place in QLD I would rather be other than here that is between Hervey Bay to 1770 any where in between but here is where i would rather be.

Great for

  • Magnificent fishing
  • Excellent bikeways
  • Gods country

Not great for

  • The idiots seem to come out in there cars when it rains
  • Some young people spoiling it for others not all only a couple
  • The traffic can be bad at times

"Come home to paradise.........every day"

Vicy Point has it all - in one compact place. ALL the high quality restaurants and cafes you could wish for, modern well priced cinemas, supermarkets, variety stores and speciality stores all within blocks of each other. Boaties paradise, family beaches, islands to explore, water sports galore - kayaks, catamarans etc all in safe sheltered waters. Clubs, golf courses, churches, community. Schools, buses, trains but without the busyness of other places.

Sunset walks along the beach, wine, cheese and pate, and you know I am in love with this place. Never felt safer.

I have lived here and commuted to work to both the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Easy travelling either way - driving or public transport. And when you come home to paradise the problems of the day just disappear.

"Beautiful Bayside Town"

This is a wonderful little community. I only visit once a year on my way through to Coochie, but it a beautiful little town that is ideal for retirees. I give it 4.5 stars only because it is a little too far to travel to most employment centres.

"A place to call home"

Never before in all my years have I ever lived in one place for more than a few years.
Normally about 3 years has been my average, before wanting to move on. Then I moved to Victoria Point. That was in 2002.

Eight years later, in 2010, and I am still here, and feeling content and at HOME.

Over these 8 years, Victoria Point has changed from a suburb with just a few shops, to a very well equipped area, Four main Supermarkets, a Cinema, KMart and hundreds of small shops and eating establishments.

We have the boat ramps down at the point, a small beach for the little kids, but it is also a relatively quiet area.

It isn't just somewhere to live... it is Home :)

"Life by the seaside.."

Fantastic area to live. Many could class Victoria Point as the jewel in the Bayside crown. Ride to the point, catch a ferry to Coochie and you could be in the Whitsundays. Excellent shopping, with no need to leave the area now to grab everything you need. That said.....its getting busier and busier every year. Not quite the sleepy little seaside town anymore but a hustling bustling retail centred suburb.

Minutes to the water, minutes up to Mt Cotton for wine, close to great transport direct to the city..schools are all close by.

An excellent area to live..

"Perfect place to live"

Quiet, with all the facilities you'll ever need, plenty of space to bike ride, play cricket/soccer, tracks to walk along the water front and a jetty to fish from, good fish & chips, sunsets and small beach for the kids to play on with swings close by, a boaties heaven, great shops with all the major supermarkets incl Aldi and beautiful restaurants/cafes on the lake. We'll never move away and have been here for 3 years. So safe and friendly people. See the neighbours every week for a quick chat and they have quickly become friends. Close to church, and other suburbs making it an ideal spot to not have to travel if we don't want to. Its a pleasure to live in Victoria Point so close to everything that is good in Qld.
