"close to city, parks, entertainment, great restaurants close by"

very pleasant, quiet, well kept suburb. Local council is proactive. Less than 10 mins by bus to the city. Close to theatres, entertainment centre, sports fields, major and minor shopping centres and beach. Walking distance to linear park, local multicultural restaurants, shopping centres. I wouldnt live anywhere else now. Its close to perfect.

"Was lovely, now feral"

When i moved there it was a beautiful suburb, it used to take 40 minutes to walk through the shopping centre because you knew every body and we all stopped and chatted, a lovely seaside community. Then the DEVINE homes arrived, low cost, high density housing that ex-housing trust bogans to afford. Suddenly graffiti was rife on EVERYTHING, drunken teenagers wandering the streets because the public transport is non existant after 6pm, and there is absolutely nothing for them to do apart from a footy club about 2kms out of town. My street is a main thoroughfare down to the beach so every friday, saturday and sunday night it turns into a racetrack. I am now looking to move back closer to the city, where it is quieter, safer and a much more pleasant place to live overall.
